Plant the calyx lipstick flowers in the greenhouse
The calyx (Aeschynanthus radicans), also known as "great red mangosteen moss", is native to the Malay Peninsula and Java. The perennial evergreen vine, with ovoid leaves, hairy branches and leaf edges, and hairy calyxes, distinguishes it from another type of lipstick flower (Aeschynanthus pulcher) (calyx hairless, not photographed).

The flower pillar at the entrance of the Four Seasons Flower Greenhouse of the Shanghai Botanical Garden is full of flowers, and it is now in full bloom, but it seems that sporadic flowering is seen in all four seasons. There are also many lipstick flowers with only calyxes hanging on the branches, at first I thought that the calyxes had been lost, but if I looked closely, the flowers had not yet been exposed, and there were many flowers on the ground, which were connected with the calyxes.
Beautiful lipstick flowers
In addition to the canolas lipstick, before the Tatsuyama Botanical Garden greenhouse there was another kind of beautiful lipstick (Aeschynanthus speciosus), also known as beautiful mango moss. Native to Southeast Asia.
The above two kinds of lipstick flowers are all of the genus Of the genus Bulrush in the family Oleander, which has more than 100 species in the Zhongzhi records, mostly distributed in tropical areas, and there are more than 30 kinds in China, distributed in southern and southeastern Tibet, Yunnan, southern Sichuan, southern Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong and Taiwan. Last year in Tibet I had the opportunity to see several, share it.
