Mankind has come to this day, has experienced primitive society, slave society, feudal society, is currently experiencing capitalist society and socialist society, and is slowly moving towards a communist society.
In this process, each country has chosen different social systems and development paths.
There are currently more than 200 countries and regions in the world, most of which are capitalist societies, and only 5 countries have taken the road of socialist society, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos and Cuba.
Many people believe that the socialist system is not as popular as the capitalist system, but this statement is very wrong.
Every country has the right to choose its own national system and development path, and in this process, it also has the right to reform or even change the main body of the state and the political system it implements at any time.
The reason why only five countries in the world currently have a socialist system, and the socialist Congo is not included in it, is very complex.
But in the final analysis, the establishment, maintenance and development of a socialist state requires the right time and place, and this system poses a very serious challenge for any ruling party.
Not all ruling parties have the ability and courage, and not all countries can become socialist countries in the present.
The core elements of a socialist country include the main body of the country, which is what we often call the state system, as well as the political system, that is, the political system, and of course, the specific code of conduct and package plans that extend to include politics, military, economy, science and technology, education, medical care, diplomacy, etc.
The national interests, the objectives of national development and the expression of the will of the state in socialist countries are fundamentally different from capitalism.
To understand why only 5 countries in the world are socialist countries, we have to analyze them one by one from these dimensions.
On the one hand, the main body of a socialist state is the broad masses of the working people; in the past, it included workers and peasants, but now it includes workers, peasants, intellectuals and patriots.
Therefore, the above-mentioned groups are the masters of the country and exercise ultimate administrative power over it.
The main body of capitalist countries is big capitalists, and the managers of these countries are what we often call the elite.
Although the vast middle class, the poor middle peasants, and the most basic laborers have contributed the most fundamental and important strength to the development of the country, they do not have any right to manage the country, or even have the opportunity to participate in the process of state management.
On the other hand, the whole of political and socialist countries is different, for example, the mainland is the people's congress system.
However, in the final analysis, there is a common and distinctive feature, that is, the formulation and implementation of the system mainly considers the fundamental interests of the vast number of workers and facilitates the exercise of rights by the broadest masses of people.
The political system of capitalist countries is the form of a parliament or parliament composed of capitalists themselves, etc., and its common feature is to safeguard and take care of the personal interests of a very small number of large capitalists, or the interests of capital groups, without taking into account the interests of the broad masses at all.
Based on this, the national interests formed by the two different regimes of the State, as well as the mode and purpose of State action, are completely inconsistent.
We often say that there are no eternal friends or eternal enemies in the relationship between countries, only eternal interests, and the interests here refer to the overlapping parts of the interests of the two countries.
The greater this overlap, the better and more stable the relationship between the two countries will be.
For socialist countries, because the people are masters of the country and the ruling party does everything for the people, the supreme interests of the country are the greatest common divisor of all the interests of the people.
In other words, what most people in this country want is in the country's best interest.
In this way, the goal of the external action of the socialist country becomes the need to safeguard the common interests and most urgent interests of the domestic people, and because of the different composition of the country.
Generally speaking, the smallest component of the nation-state is the individual, and the smallest component of the civilized state is the family, so this way of state behavior that represents the interests of the overwhelming majority of the people is the most powerful, but there is less room for compromise.
Conversely, for capitalist countries, because capital plays a decisive role in the allocation of resources, and big capitalists are increasingly concentrated in the elite, thus becoming more and more powerful in the country's political influence, the national interests of this country are the interests of big capitalists, more precisely, the interests of capital itself - profit-seeking.
In this way, the goal of the capitalist country's external action has become to maintain the sustainability of capital and strive to maximize its profiteering, which are the essential needs of capital expansion and the most fundamental embodiment of capitalist bloodthirst.
Therefore, such a country will adopt a more radical way of foreign action and make huge profits. Such a state behaves weakly, but has more room for maneuver, because capital can do whatever it takes to make a profit - by any means!
Above we talked about the characteristics of the socialist system and its difference from capitalism. In the final analysis, socialism emphasizes "social", that is, public ownership, while capitalism emphasizes "capital", that is, private ownership.
Although public ownership can tolerate mixed ownership, its essence is still communal (note: it is owned by the whole people).
Knowing the above points, we can explain why the socialist Congo is not a socialist country.
First of all, we see that the Congo began to practice a dictatorship, that is, a one-party system, that is, the Congolese Labour Party, which is a relatively important symbol of a socialist country.
However, in 1991, the then ruling party of the Congolese Workers' Party abandoned the one-party system and replaced it with a multi-party system that rotated in power, which undermined the characteristics of socialism and prevented the effective continuation of systems and policies.
However, the reform of the Congo's system is far more than that, although on the surface the Congo still says that it implements a socialist system, but the Congo has abandoned public ownership, all private ownership as the main body, as mentioned above, although the socialist market economy accepts and welcomes mixed ownership, but the fundamental characteristics of public ownership cannot be abandoned.
On the whole, after the Congo abandons one-party dictatorship, proletarian leadership, and public ownership, it actually abandons scientific Marxism-Leninism.
This point is very important, because by abandoning Marxism-Leninism, we will lose the premise of integrating Marxism-Leninism with our own national conditions, and naturally we will not be able to be regarded as a socialist country.
In fact, there are some countries similar to the Congo, which in the middle of the last century were all socialist countries, especially some countries in Central Europe, except for some countries that joined the Soviet Union, there are still some countries that practice socialism independently.
However, with the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact, the disintegration of the Soviet Union, and the great changes in Central Europe, the number of countries that finally implemented the socialist system has changed from more than 20 to 5 today.
Western countries generally believe that the socialist system is not suitable for the survival and development of mankind, especially the development of capital, that is, it is impossible to use the socialist system to transform a country and make the people of this country live a happier and richer life.
Western scholars have come to this conclusion very one-sidedly. The great changes in Central Europe in the last century are mainly due to the exaggeration of the shortcomings of the Soviet model and the co-optation of these Central European countries by European and American countries. The Soviet Union did have its own problems, and at the same time it fell for the Americans.
Whether it was economically fooled by the US president to engage in "shock therapy" or militarily forced to engage in an arms race by the Pentagon's paper talk, in short, the Soviet Union did not have a more up-to-date pace, did not learn, live, and deeply Marxism-Leninism, did not have its own strategic determination, and still less did it have far-reaching strategic thinking and ability.
With the rise of China, the socialist road has begun to be re-focused by all countries, and it is generally found that China provides another feasible path for the modernization of mankind - the road of socialist modernization, thus breaking the erroneous statement that the West has advocated for hundreds of years that "modernization is only the Western model".
Of course, we must also see that in the process of adhering to the socialist development path in China, it has also needed many difficulties, especially in the political environment, economic development, scientific and technological innovation, industrial transformation and other problems, some of which still exist even now.
In short, the reason why there are currently only five socialist countries in the world is not because the socialist system is worse than the capitalist system, still less because this system has been abandoned by the majority of people, but because the implementation of this system has put forward very high requirements for the people, organizations and political parties of the country.
