In fact, the fourth stage of the Marvel Universe is itself full of problems.

The problem, however, is that the situation with this film is more peculiar.
First, "Homeless" specially found Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man to help, playing the sentiment card, but not all films can have feelings to sell, so the results of this film are special cases and cannot be regarded as regular Marvel movies.
Second, the copyright of Spider-Man is in the hands of Sony Pictures, and the movie is also made by Sony, which means that although this film belongs to the Marvel Universe, it has nothing to do with Marvel Studios and Disney at the box office.
Then, after excluding Spider-Man, the remaining 6 Marvel movies, the box office numbers are only "Thor 4", "Doctor Strange 2" and "Black Panther 2" three.
Although "Black Panther 2" is still being released, judging from the opening data of the box office, the final box office must be very good.
The box office of "Doctor Strange 2" is indeed good, and it is also an improvement compared to the previous work, which is not to be said.
"Thor 4", it's okay to look at the numbers alone, but in fact, it's still that sentence, the box office results need to be combined with the IP itself.
As one of the original Avengers Big Three, the global box office of the fourth part of the series is nearly $100 million backwards than the third part, although the North American box office is a little more than the previous work, but don't forget that the production cost is also 20 million higher.
So if you look at it comprehensively, "Thor 4" can only be said to be unsuccessful at most, and it is decent.
As for the other three, it can only be said that it is very crotch-pulling.
"Black Widow" also had a certain impact on the box office because it was in time to catch up with streaming media, but as far as its own data is concerned, even if it is not streamed, the box office is not much higher.
As a veteran of the Avengers, the results of these figures are really quite dismal.
What's more interesting is "Shang Qi", which is a very failure from an overall point of view.
The reason is also very simple, Shang-Chi is actually the new hero of the fourth stage, and the only solo movie with a new hero, and the remaining 5 are either new teams or old characters.
And "Shang Qi" has a theatrical window of up to 70 days, the longest of all Marvel movies, but given such a long release time, the North American box office is only more than $200 million.
The number of more than 400 million global box office is comparable to the first stage of Captain America and the movies of Thor before the rise of Marvel, but to be honest, it is indeed a bit humiliating, you have to go back to sit side by side with the first stage of the film after the fourth stage.
Not to mention that "Shang-Chi" itself is also the main force used by Marvel to further develop the Asian market, but in the end it is clear that it has not completed this task, and audiences in Asia do not feel that this character can be compared with heroes such as Iron Man.
In the case that the Marvel Universe has formed a huge brand effect, if the main new hero can only get this result, it can only be said that this hero has no potential to carry a piece of the sky or become a core figure at all.
As for "Eternals", needless to say, look at the production cost, then look at the box office in North America, then look at the global box office figures, and even check the score, and the conclusion is two words: failure.
It can be seen that the overall performance of Marvel's fourth stage can not be said to be very good, at most it can only be said to be decent.
But the problem is that the fourth stage did not bring out a core role, and the Shang Qi, which was originally expected by Marvel, was finally dull, and it was Doctor Strange and Thor who could hold up the scene, which is obviously very bad for the long-term development of a movie universe.
Of course, in fact, in addition to movies, there are many TV series in the fourth phase of Marvel, but after all, the influence of TV series cannot be compared with movies.
And these TV series, but everything about new heroes, such as female Hulk, Marvel Girl, etc., are quite low-rated, even if these heroes are included, their popularity is just like that.
Interestingly, several TV series with high ratings in the fourth stage, such as "Wanda and Vision" and "What If", etc., are also the home of old characters.
In other words, all the new heroes of the fourth stage, not to mention the point of reaching the leader of Iron Man and Captain America, have not even been able to touch the passing line, and it is always a few "old people" who support the field, from this point of view, the fourth stage has not completed the task of carrying on the top and bottom well.
In addition, I believe everyone has also discovered that none of the films in the fourth phase of Marvel have been released in China.
There are many reasons, and everyone also understands that the main thing is that the current Marvel movies like to add some things to the content, these elements make people feel uncomfortable, and they are not helpful to the film itself at all, it is purely fooling.
To know that China's film market is the second in the world, of course, with Marvel's current signboard, even if there is no domestic market, you can still make a lot of money, but from another point of view, you can only give three words to evaluate this behavior: too much money.
Marvel's attitude, it is no wonder that the fourth stage makes the domestic audience feel that there is no sense of existence.
Of course, Marvel still has a lot of cards in hand, such as Wolverine, Deadpool, Fantastic Four, X-Men, etc., but in the end, it depends on how to play these cards.
