Napoli boss Aurelio De Laurentiis has asked for 100 million euros to buy Osmeen and will only hear offers from June. This comes amid interest from Premier League duo Manchester United and Newcastle United, who are expected to both have spending power in the upcoming transfer window.

Napoli's form this season has been unbelievable, already ahead of Liverpool and at the top of the Champions League group stage. There is no doubt that Osmein played a part in this success, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in 14 games in all competitions. The Nigeria international did get injured, but his seven Serie A goals and two assists have all been in the six league games since, suggesting there are no long-term effects. The Reds have been the team most closely linked to the 23-year-old in recent weeks, in part due to the ongoing situation surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo and his possible departure. However, even though there are rumours that the Portugal international could withdraw in January after the World Cup, it seems that Eric Ten Hag will have to wait if Osmeen is to replace him.

Brazilian club Gremio is looking to sign veteran Luis Suarez. The newly elected president of the club, Alberto Guerra, and his board have already made an offer to the 35-year-old, who became a free agent after leaving the national team and helping the club win the league title. The former Barcelona and Liverpool star returned to the club national team where he started his career after his contract with Atletico Madrid was not renewed in June. Gremio is eager to sign Suarez but knows it won't be easy. Suarez is currently training with the Uruguayan national team in preparation for the World Cup and has many suitors. Suarez is reportedly a target for MLS team Los Angeles Galaxy. Players are unlikely to make decisions about their future after the World Cup.

Jürgen Klopp has revealed that Liverpool are in talks with Roberto Firmino on a new contract.

Firmino, a player accidentally missed from Brazil's World Cup squad, was a free agent at the end of the season and will be able to negotiate with clubs outside England from 1 January. Klopp said: "Normal conversations are happening, so we'll see what happens there. The Liverpool boss could also strengthen his midfield in January. "We're always open to these things, but we don't have to have that kind of discussion right now," he said. "If there's something possible, we'll do it, but the door is open and we're open." It's not wanted. We want to improve the team all the time and we just believe in the training ground we can do it there. Real Betis' Guido Rodríguez was listed by the Spanish media as a possible target.

Ersey is working to reach a contract extension agreement with Mason Mount. The 23-year-old will play in the World Cup with England this week and will have just over 18 months left on his contract when he returns from Qatar. Negotiations have been going on throughout 2022 and Chelsea remain hopeful to find common ground. But if he doesn't sign, Chelsea will have to consider making him available on transfer to avoid losing him for free in 2024. Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini and Villarreal's Jeremi Pino have been mentioned as transfer options if Mount fail to renew their contracts.

Paris Saint-Germain are close to reaching an agreement with Marco Verratti to extend the midfielder's contract until 2026, with Italy's current contract ending in 2024. The Ligue 1 champion has also started or resumed contract discussions with Sergio Ramos, Lionel Messi, Marquinhos and Presnell Kimpembe.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta spoke to Diario Sport about how the Blues will work to ensure they can sign within the January transfer window. "To sign in the winter, we will have to absorb players who improve what we have, which is not easy, especially considering that we continue to face fair play issues due to the cancellation of the Champions League, which reduces our budget revenue, and La Liga has warned us that we will reduce our signing capacity," Laporta said.

Juventus are looking to strengthen the two full-back positions and could do so as early as January, offering four right-back players the Bianconeri are considering. They are Roma's Riek Karlsdorp, Real Madrid's Alvaro O'Dellozola, Manchester United's Diogo Dalot and Spezia's Emil Holm.

Lens has been in contact with Paris football club about a potential move for centre-back Julien Le Cardinal and the Ligue 1 side are looking for someone to help fill the void left by Jimmy Cabote's injury. Discussions are said to have progressed in recent days, with the two clubs likely to complete a deal worth €3 million.
