Entrenchment! Harrison Ford, 80, personally flew an $18.8 million private jet from New York to Tennessee to pick up his mother-in-law and take him to Los Angeles to celebrate his wife, Calista Flookhart's 58th birthday.

The Hollywood legend, who has many well-known titles such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones, is a true fan of flying. Han Solo in Star Wars pilots the spaceship, and Harrison Ford himself drives the plane.

The $18.8 million Citation Sovereign jet is the largest in his treasured collection, with a top speed of 525 miles per hour and a range of 3,200 nautical miles.

Ford has been training to fly since the sixties, and Ford's own flying career has not always been as handsome as in front of the movie camera, and he himself has suffered many crashes and injuries.

Back in 1999, during a routine training flight, his Longranger helicopter crashed, and neither Sofute nor the pilot instructor were seriously injured.

In 2015, Ford's World War II-era plane crashed into an engine failure at Penmar Golf Course in Venice, California. Ford unfortunately fractured his pelvis and ankle.

In 2017, at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Ford mistakenly flew low over a passenger plane carrying 110 people on the runway. According to the New York Times, he was supposed to land on a runway parallel to the taxiway.

More recently, in April 2020, Ford had an accident after flying a single-engine plane to land at Hawthorne City Airport outside Los Angeles.

After being told to wait, he misheard the air traffic controller's radio command and crossed the runway where another plane landed.

While there was no risk of a collision and no one was injured, Ford admitted his mistake when scolded by aviation authorities.
