Another tidbit from Haynes' report suggests that the Lakers are eyeing the Washington Wizards All-Star.
The star player the Lakers covet is Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, the source said. If Beal asks for a trade, then the Lakers will go after the 10-year veteran. The Los Angeles Lakers reported on Bradley Beal's interest.
Either way, the Lakers are expected to be active before the NBA trade deadline. If Westbrook continues to excel, Russell Westbrook could end up on an expiring contract.
