United rotated seven men, with only Marcus Rashford, Donny van de Beek, Victor Lindelof and Dalot continuing to start.

The Reds dominated the first half but held the score tied at halftime.

In the 48th minute, Ramsey passed the ball and Watkins burst into the net from 12 yards. United equalised in the 49th minute when a cross from the right side of the B penalty area was pushed forward by Anthony Martial into the net.

In the 61st minute, Bailly's header was blocked by Dalot in front of the crossing, 2-1. United equalised again in the 67th minute when Eriksen was blocked from holding the ball in the box and followed by Marcus Rashford got rid of Mines and Chambers and fired a powerful shot in front of the box to make it 2-2.

United rebounded in the 78th minute when goalkeeper Olsen's pass was intercepted by Jamacho and a powerful shot from inside the edge of the box deflected Mins into the net to make it 3-2. In the 91st minute, Gamagio crossed diagonally from the left and Scott McTominay volleyed in front of the penalty area as United won 4-2 in the Carabao Cup.
