Japanese Sengoku character 10 Date Uemune

author:Mr. SLI

The previous article took you to know the Aizu Yushi lord Ashina Mori, and then introduce the Date family that has been fighting with Ashina for many years. When it comes to the Date family, everyone thinks of the "one-eyed dragon" Date Masamune, and the reason why Masamune was able to expand rapidly was his grandfather Esamune.

Date Minorune was the daimyō of the Japanese Sengoku Mutsu Kingdom, the 14th governor of the Date clan, and the son of Date Shomune. In the eleventh year of Eisho, Shangjong died of illness, and Emperor Jijong immediately began to expand externally, going out to Mogami Yoshiding, and breaking Yoshiding at the Battle of Dewa Hasedo, forcing Yoshiding to marry his sister as a condition for peace, and in fact taking control of the Mogami family. In terms of diplomacy, Minorune began to woo the shogunate, and went to the Hana no Gossho to meet the shogun Ashikaga Yoshiji and the governor Hosokawa Takakuni, offering gold, taidao, and Oshu famous horses, so Minorune was given the name by the shogun and officially changed his name to "Date Minorune" (formerly known as Takamune), becoming a famous daimyo in the Tohoku region of Japan at that time. Dr. Zuo Kyo is the hereditary official position of the former Oshu Tanji Osaki clan. The Date family obtained this position, effectively replacing the Osaki clan. Minoru took advantage of this to raise his family.

In the winter of the second year of Ōinaga (1522), Minorune continued to move around the shogunate to obtain the Imperial Inner Letter, appointed Mutsu Province as the guardian, fulfilled his great-grandfather's wish to hold the sect, and at the same time broke the system that had always been based on the Oshu exploration system, and greatly strengthened the Date family's political status in the Tohoku region. However, the shogunate, considering that Date could not sit idly by and let Date become the only one, in the same year ordered Kasai to be the five lower Sakyo daifu and Mutsu Mamoru, that is, two giants appeared on behalf of Oshu, thus provoking a conflict between Date and Kasai.

In the first year of Hiroku (1528), Kasai Harushige's concubine Minoru died of illness, and Minoru Sect keenly ordered Ashina Mori Shun to send reinforcements to jointly attack the Kasai family, forcing Haruhi to establish the six male apes of the Minoru sect, Wakamaru (Haruyin), as his concubine and took charge of the Kasai family. Using Mutsu's status as guardian, Minorune actively intervened in the internal affairs of the Tohoku daimyo and gradually infiltrated Date forces into the surrounding forces.

In the third year of astronomy (1534), Iwaki Shigetaka saw Date infiltrating his family and abandoning his marriage with the Date clan, and Haramune immediately joined forces with the Ashina, Soma, and Nikaido clans to attack the Iwaki clan, forcing Shigetaka to renew his marriage contract and control its power. In the fifth year of astronomy, there was civil unrest in the Osaki family, and Osaki Yoshino secretly asked Minorune to send troops to suppress it, and Minorune led 3,000 horses out to quell the chaos, and afterwards, on the grounds of helping to quell the chaos, Izune asked Yoshino to accept his second son Shinmaru (Yoshigen) as his heir, making Osaki Date the sphere of influence.

In order to fully control the Mutsu region, Minoramune mediated Iwaki's struggle with Nikaido, but the struggle with the Tamura clan did not stop, and under the mediation of his son-in-law Soma Hidein, Minorune married Tamura Takashi with his daughter, and made the Tamura clan a subsidiary of Date.

Unfortunately, there is a loophole in the perfect diplomatic strategy of the Minority. Echigo guarded Uesugi Teishi without a male heir, and Minoru immediately ordered the three men Shimoto to enter the Uesugi family, and sent the most elite one hundred horsemen (considered heavy soldiers at the time) to accompany Shinimoto to the Uesugi family, just when Minorune thought that the power could infiltrate Echigo, the eldest man Haramune objected: "Father! Isn't Fuida a cicada that has just shed her skin? Why should it be beneficial to others and harm my family to evil? But Ji Zong replied, "This is my family's long-term benefit, and it is useless to talk about it!" On the other hand, in order to thank his son-in-law Soma Hsien Yin for his efforts to reconcile with Tamura, Ji Munong decided to give land and Hsien Yin, but this matter was dissatisfied with Haramune and his retainers, and the instigation of Nakano Mune's retainers, Haramune decided to take action.

In the twelfth year of astronomy, when Emperor Qingzong was hunting in the suburbs, he led troops to imprison Zhizong in Xishan City, and Emperor Qingzong established himself as the new family governor. Soon, Ji Zong was rescued by the Xiaoliang Chuan Dynasty and Sheng Zong's father and son, and after escaping, Ji Zong angrily decided to send troops to fight against the rebellious Qing Sect, and finally broke out the "astronomical rebellion" that affected the northeast for a long time.

Due to the marriage diplomacy of the Minoru Sect, the Oshu daimyo were inevitably involved in the chaos, and the Oshu Daimyo was divided into daimyos such as Soma Hidein, Nikaido Keiyuki, Ashina Mori, and Ishikawa Harumitsu, as well as the Ida Yoshimune, which were mainly clansmen, and the Haruhi sect, which was dominated by the daimyo Iwaki Shigetaka and Nakano Sect.

Emperor Ji Zong defeated the Qing Sect in the Battle of Shimutian and gained the upper hand to retake Xishan City. At the same time, however, Haramune continued to communicate with the retainers of the daimyo of the Inari sect, and bribed the daimyo such as the Ashina Mori clan and Mogami Yoshimori, and the Ashina Mori clan opposed Tamura Takashi and Nikaido Keiyuki and switched to the Haramune side, and Ashina's defection caused some small forces to defect to the Harune sect. In March of the seventeenth year of Tensho (1548), Tamura Takashi sent an emissary to Kyoto to ask Guni Yihui to mediate, and Shogun Yoshiki sent a monk from the Holy Backyard to issue an order of reconciliation, with Ashina Morishun as the messenger mediating, and the two parties reconciled. Minorune was ordered to live in seclusion in Marumori Castle, while Haramune moved to Yonezawa Castle and officially became the fifteenth governor of Date , and Haramune defeated other daimyo of the Kinji Sect during his reign, officially ending the six-year astronomical chaos.

The Astronomical Rebellion severely damaged Date 's relationship with the other Oshu daimyos, and nullified Jimune's efforts to infiltrate the surrounding daimyos. As a result, the Date clan also lost many of his vassals and created Nakano Munetoki's monopoly. Emperor Go-Haramune officially abdicated to Emperor Huizong and went to live in seclusion in Sugime Castle, and on June 19 of the same year, Tsuzune also died of illness in Marumori Castle at the age of 78, and his legal name was Shinyama Enju entered Zhisong-in Temple and was buried in Oda Yorinji Temple.

He was not only talented in diplomacy and politics, but also in governing his territory. The construction of the streets and the establishment of guidelines for the economy of the territory gave Date the capital to fight. On the other hand, Minoru had 20 children and married nearby daimyos such as Ashina, Kasai, Osaki, Tamura, Watari, Nikaido, Hangda, Kuangori, Murata and Soma, making him close to Date and even becoming Date 's circle of influence, known as the "Date Network". It can be seen that the diplomatic hand of the Emperor is very high. Coupled with the political superiority of Mutsu's guard, Ida became the core of central and southern Austrian states, creating hegemony. Unfortunately, because of these relationships, the surrounding major names were involved in the astronomical chaos, and finally turned against each other. Date goes from being the ruler to being the object of siege.

In the fifth year of astronomy (1536), Ekimune issued the Date Clan Imperial Success and Failure Style One Seventy-One Articles, referred to as the "Dust Mustard Collection", which, together with the Imagawa clan's "Imagawa Kana Catalog" and the Takeda clan's "Takeda Shingen Family Law", are known as the Three Major Styles of the Warring States. The Dust Mustard Collection is modeled after the "Imperial Success or Failure Style" of Hojo Taishi in the Kamakura period, and is the most detailed law of division of countries in the Warring States period, which was used to strengthen the power and dominance of the daimyo itself, and to regulate the private fighting of subordinates and the formation of party crimes.

To sum up, people despise the idea that the reason why Qingzong launched the coup d'état was not entirely because of political discord, but because when Zhizong favored the sect, he made the concubine Qingzong have a sense of crisis. Just like Jia Fei's Shingen exiled Xinhu. It can be seen that how to treat and cultivate juniors is the key to a strong force.
