The first "Avatar", released in December 2009, was a true phenomenal film that grossed more than $2.8 billion worldwide, becoming one of the most successful films in film history. Director James Cameron (Titanic, Terminator) had no intention of stopping there, and then announced four sequels.
The first installment of these sequels, Avatar: The Way to Water, is coming to theaters and promises an unparalleled experience once again. Release date, history, cast, pictures, latest news... Here's everything you need to know about Avatar 2.

What is the story of Avatar 2?
In the first film "Avatar"...
In 2154, former Marine Jack Sully (Sam Worthington) came to the planet Pandora to participate in a revolutionary science project. Disabled on Earth, Sally wakes up on the planet Pandora to find himself injected with alien genes and becomes a Na'vi.
He falls in love with Netiri (Zoe Saldana), a Na'vi warrior, and joins the Na'vi in their fight against Earth's invaders who come to exploit Pandora's resources. In the end, humanity is defeated, and Jack Sully abandons his human body to permanently transfer his soul to the body of his incarnation, the Na'vi.
The story of this sequel remains mysterious, with a rough plot synopsis: "Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jack, Netiri and their children), solving the problems they encounter and what they must do to stay safe, struggle to survive, and the tragedy they suffer.

Who is directing the film?
Unsurprisingly, director James Cameron (Titanic, Terminator, Terminator 2, The Abyss) returns to the lens, but is also the screenwriter and producer of the film. Josh Friedman (Snowman and Foundation series) is co-writer.
Cameron's longtime partner John Landau (Titanic, Alita) was also present in production. Cinematography was signed by Russell Carpenter (Titanic, True Lies) and music by Simon Frangeren (Seven Mercenaries).
Weta FX, which is responsible for the special effects for The Lord of the Rings, the Planet of the Apes trilogy and the first Avatar, will return to many sequels to the series. Quality assurance.
