On August 21 , 2006 , he won 9–6 at the Northern Ireland Open , becoming the third player after Higgins and O'Sullivan to win three ranking titles before the age of 20.

In 2013/2014, he won the Snooker Shanghai Masters, Indian Open, International Championships, German Masters and China Open, winning 5 titles in a single season, and the 80 Five Tigers were the first player to compete with the billiards emperor Hendry with 5 titles in a single season. He reached the top of the world No. 1 in December 2014 and is the first Asian player to reach the world No. 1.
