NASA will restart new research on unidentified flying objects (UFOs), with results to be released next year. After the US official released 2 UFO reports in succession, the media and the public were still confused about the existence of UFOs.
Since the U.S. Department of Defense confirmed that some of the UFO videos circulating on the Internet were taken by military aircraft, the American public has begun to take a great deal of interest, because it is one of the few officially talked about UFOs.
In the 2022 Pentagon UFO report, the US military concluded that "there is no evidence that these UFOs come from extraterrestrial civilizations", but at the same time, it said that some UFOs are indeed entities rather than weather phenomena, and it is impossible to say why these UFOs show flight characteristics that are completely beyond human aircraft, so NASA, as the agency that has performed the most space missions, decided to personally investigate the UFO phenomenon.
NASA announced that it will set up a research team of 16 scientists in physics and astrobiology, including former astronaut Scott Kelly who has flown multiple space missions, to restart a new study of UFOs.
NASA claims that the team will focus entirely on "unclassified" UFOs, that is, traditional government "top secret reports", most of which have passed the 50-year classification period, while observing and analyzing unidentified UFOs from other data collected from civilian, civil aviation and commercial sectors, and hopes to draw a definitive conclusion, which is expected to be released in mid-2023.
NASA said that the new study was carried out separately from the Pentagon's investigation of UFOs, in the United States, the phenomenon of UFOs was previously called "UFO", and later the Pentagon also began to study the UFO phenomenon and officially changed its name to "UAP" (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon), UAP and UFO are the same kind of thing, but the code name is different.
At a recent professional conference of astronomers hosted by NASA, 69 percent of attendees estimated that humans could find evidence of extraterrestrial life within 5-25 years.
