"I went to work in Zhongnanhai in 1964, and if there is anything special, it is that the work is very intense, and the lights in Zhongnanhai are always on even in the middle of the night." From the diligent and thrifty living state to the hard work style, Chen Kuanhong told what he saw and heard, and unveiled the mystery of Zhongnanhai for everyone.
In Chen Kuanhong's narration, Zhu Yaping, a resident of Zhongfang Community, listened with relish. "I learned a lot of details that would be hard to read in books, and I benefited a lot. As ordinary people, to be an honest person, a person who is willing to give, our society will become better and better. Zhu Yaping said.
Yao Qing, a young volunteer of the "post-90s" generation, said that what Chen Kuanhong saw, felt and heard also reminded her to cherish the current good life and contribute more to the development of the city.
Fifty-eight years ago, 17-year-old Chen Kuanhong walked into Zhongnanhai from his hometown of Malu Town to become a stenographer in the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, an experience that Chen Kuanhong regarded as the most valuable treasure in his life. Recalling the details, sorting out the context, and verifying the historical background, Chen Kuanhong recorded the "voice" of that era, accumulating more than 100,000 words.
In 2014, the "Old Chen Story Collection" came into being, this lecture is 8 years, Chen Kuanhong has conducted nearly 300 lectures, covering tens of thousands of listeners. A staff member revealed that his highest record was three consecutive lectures a day, "Even in his advanced age, Teacher Chen still recalls the past with great energy and refreshment." ”
Chen Kuanhong, 75, seems to have endless energy, in addition to being a "red story teller", he is also a volunteer in the village, assisting in village governance and epidemic prevention and control.
