Early life
Emily Deschanel was born in 1976 in Los Angeles, California. His father is cinematographer and director Caleb Deschanel and his mother is actress Mary Jo Deschanel. Her sister is actress and singer-songwriter Zuy Deschanel. Her grandfather was French and Descher had Swiss, Dutch, British, Irish and French ancestry.

Before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Boston University's Professional Actor Training Program, Deschanel attended Harvard-Westlake School and Crossroads School in Los Angeles.
Acting career
"Cold Mountain", "Bone Tracking", "Guillotine Valley"
In 1994, Deschanel made her film debut, the romantic comedy "Falling City Story", in which her father served as the lead cinematographer. In 2002 she played Pam Asbury in Stephen King's horror miniseries Blood Rose. After that, she starred in "Cold Mountain", "The Legend of the Heroes of the Border City" and "The Road of Glory".
In 2005, Deschanel played Dr. Templery Bounern in the crime comedy Bone Hunt. The comedy is based on a novel by Hart Hansen and the career of forensic anthropologist and writer Kathy Rex.
From September 2005 to March 2017, the show aired for 12 seasons. For her performance, Deschanel was nominated for the 2006 Satellite Award and nominated for the 2007 Teen Choice Award. Deschanel and Berrenards served as co-producers at the beginning of the third season and became producers in the middle of the fourth season. In 2015, Deschanel starred in "Sleepy Hollow" and "BoJack Horseman" during the production of "Bone Hunting".
Personal life
In September 2010, Deschanel and actor and writer David Hornsby had a small private wedding in the Pacific Palisside area of Los Angeles. In September 2011, Deschanel gave birth to their first son. In June 2015, she gave birth to her second son. Both pregnancies added corresponding bridges to "Bone Search".
