Taiwan's Pingtung held the "Forest Night Canteen" to invite the public to observe the night ecology

According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency" on May 9, at the end of May and the beginning of June every year in the Shuangliu Forest Recreation Area in Lion Township, Pingtung, Taiwan, amphibians and reptiles are active at night, and the Forestry Bureau's Pingtung Forest Management Office has held two consecutive weekends since May 25 to lead the public to observe the night ecology.

On May 25, May 26, June 1 and June 2, the Shuangliu Nature Education Center held four echelons of "Forest Night Canteen" night ecological observation activities at the Shuangliu Forest Recreation Area.

Pingtung Forest Management Office said that in May and June, shuangliu park night ecological outbreak, amphibian frogs such as Ze frog, Japanese tree frog, brown tree frog, Radushi red frog, small rain frog, black Monsi's small rain frog, Mo's tree frog, Bu's tree frog; reptiles have red tail green bamboo wire, umbrella festival, turtle shell flower, red spotted snake, tea class snake, red-backed pine root, big-headed snake, lead mountain gecko, Svenhoe climbing lizard, and other snails, spiders, stream crabs, stream shrimp, moths, fireflies, non-living and summer night starry sky can be introduced.

Since the Shuangliu Forest Recreation Area does not provide night accommodation services, and opens the park at night, it is not easy to observe the night ecology of Shuangliu, so the number of applicants for observation activities between each Chinese New Year's Eve is quite enthusiastic, and the Forestry Management Office has specially expanded the 4-echelon activity in 2019 to allow people who like nature to sign up.
