Wu Qingyuan (1914-2014), formerly known as Wu Quan, was the promoter and practitioner of the world Go revolution, known as the "Chess Saint".

Wu Qingyuan was born into a prominent family in Fuzhou, China, and later moved his family to Beijing. At the age of 14, he crossed east to Japan and began his career as a professional chess player.
