Taisho Three Beauties refers to three beauties of the Taisho period in Japan. They are: Kujo Takeko, Yanagihara Bailian, and Eki Shinshin. In addition to the above three, there is also a saying that Lin Jinzi is listed as the three beauties of Taisho.

Yanagihara Bailian, formerly known as Yanagihara Yeko, his father, Count Yanagihara Maemitsu, served as a minister in Qing and Russia and his mother was born as a geisha. When she was born, her aunt was Aiko Yanagihara, the biological mother of Emperor Taisho.
In 1900, 15-year-old Yanagihara Yezi married Viscount Kitakoji's intellectually disabled son Ziwu, and gave birth to a son Gongguang the following year. Unable to bear her husband's violent words, Yezi divorced her son and returned to her mother's house in 1905 on the condition that she would leave her son at the North Koji family. Shortly thereafter, he studied at the Toyo Yinghe Girls' School, absorbed Western culture, and began to write poetry. At the age of 26, she remarried to coal magnate Ito Saemon and her husband was 25 years older than him. It is said that the old man was full of energy and liked to ask Bailian and the concubine to sleep at the same time. At the age of 34, she met journalist Ryusuke Miyazaki, who was 7 years younger than her. Hakuren and Miyazaki Ryusuke soon fell in love, and the two frequently dated on business trips and family visits, but soon the underground romance was exposed. In January 1921, Ryusuke Miyazaki was expelled from the magazine. In August 1921, Bailian found out that she was pregnant. In October of the same year, Shira-ren took advantage of the opportunity to visit relatives in Tokyo, secretly hid, and issued a statement in the Asahi Shimbun at the time, unilaterally announcing the severance of relations with her husband Ito Denmomon, and Hakuren finally freed her loveless marriage and came together with Ryusuke Miyazaki. In the following year or so, almost all major Japanese newspapers began to track the "White Lotus Incident" in the form of serializations.

Later, Bailian gave birth to a son and a daughter for Ryusuke. Then came the war, and before the end of the war, her son at Waseda University was drafted into the army and killed in a bombing. At that time, the sixty-year-old Bailian had gray hair almost overnight. Since then, he has devoted himself to the peace movement and organized the "Mother's Society". After the war, Bailian accompanied Ryusuke on three visits to China. At the age of 76, Bailian suffered from glaucoma and went blind, relying on Ryusuke to take care of him. When she died, she had a message that "life suddenly lasted for 80 years, like a moment of morning dew". Although Yanagihara Yeko has the ending of marrying love, she is still plated with a sad background by the times. Her life is a century of Japan.
Shin Shin Ji (1877 - 1930), formerly known as Seki Eiko, nicknamed Shin Shin, a geisha in Shimbashi who married the legal scholar Ji Mu Shin, was quite famous in social circles.
