Diving World Cup: The "Dream Team" took the top two places in the preliminary round

The 2022 FINA Diving World Cup kicked off on the 20th at the Swimming and Diving Stadium in the Europa Sports Park in Berlin, Germany. On the first day of competition, the preliminary round of four events was held, and the Chinese team players won the top two in all events. Quan Hongchan, who participated in the World Cup for the first time, won a judge's perfect score in the women's singles 10m platform heats.

In the women's single 10-meter platform heats, 15-year-old Quan Hongchan, the Tokyo Olympic champion, and 17-year-old Chen Yuxi, a two-time world champion in the event, performed steadily, scoring 418.50 and 404.85 points in five jumps, ranking in the top two. Quan Hongchan scored a high of 92.40 points in a single jump in the previously error-prone 207C (backward tumbling three and a half weeks of knee hugging), and one of the judges gave 10 points. This was the first perfect score in this World Cup and the only perfect score in the game of the day.

In the women's singles 3m springboard heats, this year's Budapest World Championships third runner-up Chang Yani and champion Chen Yiwen ranked first (315.30 points) and second (307.20 points) respectively. In the men's singles 3m springboard heats, Budapest world champion Wang Zongyuan and Olympic triple gold medalist Cao Yuan occupied the top two places with 453.65 points and 414.25 points respectively.
