Sotheby's Metaverse launches the first K-pop girl group digital product line
From October 15 to October 21, Sotheby's metaverse platform Sotheby's Metaverse presents the world's first K-pop group and digital artist digital collection. The æ girls collection from South Korea's SM Entertainment, the popular K-pop girl group aespa, includes four members and their virtual identities, an exclusive digital product launched in collaboration with visual arts and digital artist Blake Kathryn.
Each piece in the æ girls collection blends the personalities, elements and virtual identities of each member and combines them with the surreal-futuristic aesthetic of Blake Kathryn's work, showcasing the seamless collaboration between several girl group members and artists. The producers of SM Entertainment even took it personally. The collection includes the MY Pass, an open edition series of works carefully created by each member of aespa, and four Altars, a series of 8 works in a group of 8 editions.

The series is an open edition that allows fans and collectors to unlock a digital blind box. A total of 16 digital blind boxes were carefully designed by each AESPA member.

The collection consists of 32 specific and limited edition works, each AESPA member has a set, each created in 8 editions. Each digital piece represents the aespa metaverse and its unique "wilderness aesthetic", and buyers who successfully purchase the work enjoy multiple benefits, including a GLB document and an exclusive video of aespa members telling the creative process behind the project. During Paris+, the most lively and exciting event of the year in the French art market, Christie's will present the "Avant-garde Wave" auction in Paris on 20 October, paying tribute to extraordinary works from prominent sources; The Impressionist and Modern Arts Department held its annual "Modern Art" auction on 21 October the following day, presenting a dazzling array of 20th and 20th century art at the Avenue Montaigne Gallery.
The "Avant-garde Wave" auction leads a stunning painting by Joan Mitchell, which has been in the collection of the same private collector for the past 30 years. This fall, Sotheby's will feature more than 90 pieces from the David Solinger Collection in New York and Paris, kicking off the collection with a November 14 New York evening sale.
