Pingbian pan-tree frog is distributed in the subtropical rainforest of Dawei Mountain at an altitude of 1950 meters in Pingbian County, Yunnan Province. Their bodies are flattened, with males about 63 mm long and females about 70 mm long. The body color of the screen-edged tree frog varies from period to period; in normal life, their backs are dominated by grass green, with occasional brown spots and white and light spots, and some brown spots with a pale center.
March to June of each year is their reproductive period, spawning places are generally around the pond, whether day or night, you can hear their calls, especially in the breeding climax in May, when night falls, flocks of screen-edged pan-tree frogs from the mountains around the pond, jungle, to the pond edge of the broad-leaved vegetation and even on the ground migration, after holding the pair, crawl to the surrounding bushes and other places, choose to hang to the side of the pool of branches, female frogs with their hind limbs to roll up the broad leaves, Foam eggs are laid in the male frog with the agitation of its hind limbs.
