Today is the ninth Martyrs' Day. In the morning, leaders of Wu Yufeng, Ma Liyang, Xu Linliang, Zhang Lin, Shao Weibin, and other four groups of the district came to the Jinjiashan Revolutionary Martyrs Monument Square together with representatives from all walks of life to present flower baskets to the revolutionary martyrs.
At 8:30 a.m., the ceremony of presenting flower baskets to the revolutionary martyrs officially began. The solemn and majestic "March of the Volunteer Army" sounded at the scene, and all the personnel sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China in unison.
After the national anthem was completed, all the participants took off their hats and stood solemnly to pay tribute to the martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives for national independence, the liberation of the people, the prosperity and strength of the country, and the happiness of the people.
After a moment of silence, the Young Pioneers sang "We Are the Successors of Communism" to express the lofty respect and remembrance of the revolutionary martyrs by the contemporary youth, as well as the determination and ambition to inherit and carry forward the spirit of revolutionary martyrs and fight for the cause of communism.
Along with the solemn and affectionate "Song of Flowers", 8 salutatorians steadily lifted the flower basket, slowly walked to the monument, and placed the flower basket carrying respect on the base of the monument.
Wu Yufeng, Ma Liyang, Xu Linliang, and Zhang Lin slowly walked forward, stopped and stared at the flower basket, and carefully arranged the ribbon.
Subsequently, the leaders of the four groups of the district and representatives from all walks of life bowed deeply to the monument, held flowers, and slowly walked around the monument for a week.
The ceremony was presided over by Shao Weibin, deputy secretary of the district party committee, and attended by representatives of the two chiefs of the judicial procuratorate, directors of the development zone, leaders at the deputy district level, directors of the district people's armed forces department, party members and cadres of government organs, public security cadres and policemen, league members and youth, young pioneers, families of martyrs, and meritorious heroes.
