Green's ability to organise forwards and lead the team proved invaluable because the Warriors were unstoppable when the forward came on the court.
In the 2016 NBA Finals, Green was suspended for a crucial fifth game, and when Green didn't play, the Warriors didn't seem to play. Despite taking a 3-1 lead at the time, he still lost the championship.

But LeBron wasn't a grudge, and Draymond was his good brother.

Miami is infinitely closer to the 2022 NBA Finals. Their core is completely preserved in the new season, with Butler leading the team alongside Baum Adebayo and Taylor Hero under head coach Eric Spoelstra. But imagine Draymond might be the element the Heat need to reach the next level.
6'9 inches tall and 255 pounds, Bam Adebayo is a great defensive player, but he's slightly smaller. Green has the ability to defend the basket and harass opponents on the court, and they will be the best defensive frontcourt duo in the league. Draymond can also play a leading role in offense, making those around him better.
Butler, Adebayo and Green would be surprising to play together. If Miami can create enough capital space, they could become the Big Four. With the Heat reaching the Finals in 2020 and 2022 nearing the Finals, Draymond Green may have more dreams to come true.

The New York Knicks need star players, and they've signed Jaylen Brunson to a long-term deal worth $100 million. If Barrett continues to improve, one day he will become an All-Star. If the Knicks can keep Brunson, Barrett and Randle, plus Draymond Green, the Knicks will end up looking scary.
Jaylen Brunson alone is not enough to make the Knicks a contender, as the team needs more experienced star players to help Barrett and Randle reach new levels. Draymond Green will be one of the team's best organizational cores, will also be the best defensive player on the team, and will take on the same role as the Golden State Warriors to be a great leader. The Knicks love tough and serious players, and Green can reassure fans and give the team the strength to fight for the title.
Detroit Pistons
Of all the teams most likely to acquire Draymond Green, the Detroit Pistons stand out. Green seems interested in the Detroit Pistons. NBA insider Sean Deveney made it clear that Green liked the Pistons very much:
"Draymond always wanted to go there, he always wanted to play for the Pistons. And they'll have room to play. It's hard to see Dreymont playing anywhere outside of the Golden State, but if that happens anywhere, Detroit is a good choice," the executive told Dweeney.
The executive explained to Deviney: "Detroit has always wanted Draymond to join this team, and (owner Tom) Gores has always hoped they can play him in the second round (2012) draft (when the Pistons selected Green, Green was no longer there, they took Chris Middleton)".
Kade Cunningham and Sadiq Bay form the core of the Pistons' future. Green can help them move on.
The fact that Green is rumored to be joining the Pistons and interested in the four-time NBA champion is enough to get Detroit among the champions. However, we're not sure if Green would consider joining the Pistons for more money.
