Charles Rolls
Born into an aristocratic family, he was the third son of Lord Llangattock. In 1906 he co-founded Rolls-Royce Ltd., known for its production of premium cars and aero engines, in collaboration with Henry Rice, and he was responsible for the company's marketing in its early years. In July 1910, Rouse died in an accidental crash while flying a Wright aircraft during an air show in Bournemouth, England, at the age of 32, becoming the first Englishman in history to die in an aviation accident.
Henry Rice
Born on March 27, 1863 in a small village called O'Walton near Peterborough, England, his father originally ran a flour mill there, and Rice's parents had two sons and three daughters, and he was the youngest in the family. When Rice was only four years old, his father went to London with two sons with the intention of running a larger flour mill, but the plan soon failed due to poor cash flow. Faced with a family struggling, Rice was employed from an early age as a newspaper boy at a book retailer, initially in charge of delivering newspapers. Rice's father died of illness in 1872, leaving only £20 behind, and Rice, who was only nine years old, was forced to drop out of school, and later worked as a telegrapher at a post office in Mayfair, London. Years later, through his own efforts and interest in cars, Rice and Rouse produced cars together.

The Rolls-Royce's flat logo uses two overlapping "R", the first letter of the names of Charles Stewartrolls and Henry Royce, reflecting the harmonious and harmonious relationship between the two. At first, the double R logo was red, and it is said that after the death of the two founders, the logo of Rolls-Royce changed from red to black, but this statement is contrary to the facts: according to authoritative historical records, the company used the new logo only to make the whole car style appear more solemn.

The Spirit of Ecstasy, the name of the front of the Rolls-Royce car, was registered as the official mascot of the Rolls-Royce on February 6, 1911. It was designed by the English painter and sculptor Charles Sykes. British Conservative MP John Montagu was a well-known figure at the time. Montagu has the status of an English aristocrat, and the rich man has an innate literary attachment and romantic feelings for love.
The married Montague, madly in love with his female secretary, Eleanor Thornton, asked Charles Rouse to make a visible logo for his car, at his own expense, after purchasing a Rolls-Royce 10/HP. Montague approached Charles Sykes in the hope of designing the image of his lover Thornton as the car logo.
Montague converted two of the 120 houses in his castle into a carving studio, where the beautiful Thornton posed for Charles Sykes to observe the carvings. Montagu required several pieces of solid sterling silver to be used on each sculpture, and after several weeks of work, six small sculptures were produced. However, these statues still did not satisfy Montague, who needed something that would fully display the unique, transcendent beauty of his lover.
At that time, the Parisian choreographer and dancer Lhoy Fowler was revolutionizing the dance world, and Montagu took Thornton to the Paris Opera House to see her performance. In the light, a series of perfect dancing postures show exactly what Montagu wants in mind: a woman draped in a tight veil, and a beautiful figure looming under the wrapping of the long veil is even more beautiful. After several modifications, the image of the celebratory goddess finally took shape: bending her legs and sticking her head forward—as if staring at the road ahead, the long tulle skirt fluttering with the wind and tightly wrapped around the graceful body. In 1911, it officially became the logo of the Rolls-Royce.
Montagu's relationship with Thornton began in 1902, and Montagu's wife, Cecil, had been tolerant of the affair, even treating Thornton as a friend. However, the affair ended in tragedy. During World War I, Montagu was sent to India to investigate mobile units. He and Thornton boarded the ship on 13 December 1915, but the ship was hit by a German torpedo and Montagu survived, but Thornton was buried at the bottom of the sea with the ship.
This story is not as perfect as it is circulating, but it is precisely this story of Montagu that shows that the pure, fanatical and inclusive love of human nature gives the symbol of a celebratory goddess.
The mascot on the front of every Rolls-Royce car: the winged celebratory goddess, her production and manufacturing process, is a perfect example of Rolls-Royce's pursuit of perfection. Charles Sykes, the designer of the Rolls-Royce logo, described his design philosophy this way: "The graceful goddess uses the bow of the Rolls-Royce as a fountain of pleasure, and the breeze along the way is gentle and swaying. "This philosophy and the shape of the goddess is an excellent embodiment of Rolls-Royce's pursuit of excellence.
The production process of this goddess statue is also extremely complex, it uses the traditional wax mold process to completely use hand inverted mold pressing, and then after at least 8 times of manual grinding, and then the polished statue is placed in a machine equipped with mixed grinding substances for 65 minutes, and the finished goddess statue must undergo strict inspection.
