There are actually more than 10 unsolved cases after Jesse Matthew was in the area as a student, and not every case will come back to him, but he remains a suspect in most of them.

On September 7, 2003, Sophie Meliveira was last seen in Newport News, when she disappeared at the age of 31, and in the years after her disappearance, her children never heard from her again, they now live with their grandparents, in fact nothing can associate her with serial killers except the time and place where she disappeared.

In September 2005, a 26-year-old woman was attacked and raped while walking home from a grocery store in Fairfax City, and DNA captured at the crime scene helped police build a dossier, according to the victim's recollection.

She heard male footsteps behind her, and as she approached her aisle, he pounced, and his strong arms lifted her off the ground, carried her to the back of the townhouse, and then threw her head to the ground, he punched her in the face and then put his hand on her neck and began sexually assaulting her, she remembered the feeling of him breathing in her neck because he said, if you bark again, I'll kill you.

A police sketch then depicted a six-foot-tall black male, of medium build, with a beard, and even then, the victim survived the physical assault and she suffered trauma.

On October 17, 2009, he kidnapped and killed Morgan Harrington, a student at Virginia Tech who attended a concert on the University of Virginia campus with some friends, and although she used her car to go to the concert, she didn't actually drive because she had a few drinks on her way there, intending to have a few more drinks at the concert around 8:30 p.m., and at the opening performance, Morgan gave his cash to a friend to buy souvenirs, and then went to the bathroom, on the way back Morgan fell on the cement square, ended up with a smaller wound on her chin and a broken hand, whether it was a head injury or alcohol cause, Morgan did not return to her seat in the end, she actually came out of the exit door, and when she wanted to go in again, the security guard turned her down because it violated the re-entry rule.

At 8:48 p.m., her friends were getting more and more worried, so they called to ask what she was doing, and she replied that she couldn't go back to the concert due to the readmission policy, but she would find a car to go home, which was her last message to her friends, but Morgan didn't come home, friends called their parents, and their parents also called everyone they knew, but to no avail, maybe she was kidnapped when she met Jesse Matthew, the taxi driver at the time, and finally they contacted the police. After discovering that no one knew Morgan's whereabouts, the police defaulted to the case as missing and conducted a massive search, and then at 7 a.m. on October 18, a University of Virginia lacrosse player found a wallet with Morgan's student ID, driver's license, a small wine jug and a debit card by the fence at Lanigan Stadium, but her batteryless phone was found the next day in the university's parking lot, where taxi drivers usually wait for the car during large entertainment events. Morgan's family became suspicious over time and even raised the bounty to 150,000.

But a week later, Charlottesville police received a report that a Black Panther shirt had hair and blood on it, which in fact matched Harrington's family, but Morgan was never found, and everyone still hoped that there was a way to get her back, but those hopes were dispelled on January 26, Morgan's body was found at Anchorage Farm, her boots, tights, Swarovski necklace and underwear were still there, and in a subsequent autopsy, Morgan's left upper arm had a spiral fracture, a green rod rib fracture and a skull-sized fracture. But they were able to collect Morgan's DNA, ironically, the same DNA as the 2005 Fairfax rape case, and then the police released sketches of the two cases, and a friend joked that Matthew and the sketch were so close that Matthew might think it was too much, and he decided to take a break, maybe in a few years his driver's license expired, he stopped driving, Matthew was just a part-time job.

On September 12, 2014, Jesse Matthew was at Joseph's School to help direct a soccer game and then started drinking, he shuttled between bars in downtown and allegedly clashed with some women, unfortunately, one of the girls was Hannah Graham, who decided to leave the party and told her friend she was uncomfortable, and although her friend was upset, she wouldn't let anyone accompany her home, and a few minutes later, Graham tried to contact her friend because she was lost, and the last message was sent at 1am , saying I was lost, suspecting she was referring to downtown, and they would pick her up after the party, but every minute it was like a year had passed for Graham, she ran from one place to another, trying to find her way home, at 10 a.m., a video captured Hannah in front of Sal continuing to walk east along the mall, but a few seconds later, seeing Matthew walking behind her, passers-by noticed Hannah and thought she might be in trouble, so they tracked her down and suddenly found Matthew sticking to her and putting his arm around her.

Another witness heard Hannah say, I won't get in the car with you, that car may have been stolen, the witness returned to the same location a few minutes later but did not find Hannah because she may have gotten into the car with Matthew, that was the last time Hannah was seen, and the surveillance video made Graham's disappearance news.

On September 20, more than 1,000 volunteers searched for Hannah in Charlottesville, Virginia, where police were able to determine where Hannah was last seen, they viewed surveillance footage of Hannah and the suspect, the next day, police identified Jesse Matthew as a suspect, police searched Jesse's apartment on September 22 and took some clothes there, and police subsequently offered a $100,000 reward for any information about Hannah's disappearance.

On October 18, 2014, Hannah's body was found in an abandoned property in Albermar County, and on November 18, the Albermar County Police Department said Hannah's death was a homicide.

The police searched Jesse Matthews's apartment and they found a cell phone that had been in use until September 13 but the SIM card had been removed and they also found DNA on the co-pilot's door, which was later confirmed to be linked to Hannah Graham, but on the day of the search, they did not know the information, so they let Matthew go and did not arrest him.

On September 21, police issued an arrest warrant for Jesse Matthew on charges of reckless driving, and on September 23, the police announced that they were charged with Matthew kidnapping, intent on rape, and other charges, Matthew's first appearance in court was scheduled for December 4, 2014, Matthew's lawyer said he would not ask the court to bail his client, and on February 10, 2015, Albemarl County federal prosecutor Dennis Rennsford announced that in addition to the kidnapping charges, Matthew was also indicted for first-degree murder of Graham, May 5, 2015. Prosecutors announced that Matthew would be charged with death penalty murder, and the increase in charges for death penalty murder means that if convicted, Matthew could face the death penalty, the trial date is set for July 5, 2016, and in a letter to the news media on February 29, 2016, prosecutors said Matthew would plead guilty.

Matthew was sentenced to life in prison, not allowed for early release or parole, and Jesse Matthew was later diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and transferred to Sussex 1 State Penitentiary in Waverley, Virginia, for cancer treatment.

In fact, Matthew committed much more than the above, he is a serial murderer, I think even if he ends up dying of cancer, it is cheap for him, he should suffer a lot.

Finally, after Graham's body was found and identified, students at the University of Virginia erected a memorial to her on campus.
