Large, brightly colored spiders were found in citizens' homes, and their size resembled one-dollar coins

Yesterday, Mr. Hu, a citizen, called the newspaper's news hotline to 82333333, saying that a strange-looking spider was found in the backyard, brightly colored and suspected poisonous. According to experts, the spider found by Mr. Hu is called the pleasant-eyed golden spider, which is not toxic, and can also pull the net to remove the damage in the homes of residents.

Mr. Hu's family lives in xinzhou TaoistGuanhe Scenic Area. The afternoon before yesterday, Mr. Hu suddenly found a spider in his backyard. To his surprise, the spider resembled a one-dollar coin, but instead of being ordinary black or brown, it was covered with brown and bright yellow stripes and spots, making it look very bright (see picture on the right).

Mr. Hu said he had heard that most of the brightly colored spiders were poisonous, but he thought it might be a rare species. But after a search online, Mr. Hu also failed to determine its variety.

Yesterday, the Wuhan Evening News reporter sent a picture of the spider to a professor at Hubei University, Chen Jian, an expert in arachnology at the Zoological Society of China. Chen Jian said that the scientific name of this spider is pleasant-eyed golden spider, although the color is bright, but it is not toxic. Although this spider is rare, it is not a rare animal. Chen Jian also introduced that the pleasing golden spider feeds on mosquitoes, flies, moths and other insects, and is a master of pest control.
