Songping Village belongs to Tobuka Town, Dongchuan District, Kunming City, with rich woodland resources and superior geographical conditions. According to reports, at present, Songping Village has organized 252 poor households with archived cards and 4 non-archived poor households with capital technology in 6 nearby villages to establish a "breeding professional cooperative".
At present, 10 ecological chicken breeding sites have been built, with a total area of more than 5,000 mu and a total enclosure area of more than 5,000 square meters. At present, there are more than 50,000 free-range black chickens. The scale of the planned annual breeding of ecological five black chickens can reach 100,000.
Black chicken breeding has become a local rich industry

Speaking of this charming five black chicken, I have to mention the owner of the chicken, Xue Kaiyong. Xue Kaiyong, 24 years old this year, looks much more mature than his actual age.
Xue Kaiyong grew up in Songping Village, because he was particularly interested in poultry from an early age. In October 2015, after graduation, he returned to Songping, found that the ecological breeding industry under the forest in his hometown belonged to the blank area, immediately thought of breeding ecological chickens, resolutely decided to return to his hometown to start a business, introduced five black chickens from Jiangxi, tried the most primitive breeding methods, and directly stocked naturally in the mountain forest. He leased 5,000 acres of woodland (2,500 acres are now actually used) for fencing.
Every morning, the staff feeds the chickens a mixture of vegetable cereals and then puts them in the mountains, and around 5 p.m., the chickens return to the coop on their own. Xue Kaiyong said that the rooster he raised was heroic and cool, and the hen was noble and gorgeous, which was completely different from ordinary chickens.
The first year of breeding earned nearly 70,000 yuan. After digging the "first bucket of gold", Xue Kaiyong decided to breed chickens that produce green shell eggs, which are sold 3 to 4 times higher than traditional eggs per egg, which is a veritable "golden egg", and the profit climbed to 130,000 yuan the next year, digging the "second bucket of gold" in life.
Thousands of acres of mountain forest, pheasant activity paradise
Generally speaking, captive chickens, because many chickens will peck between each other, if captive in the chicken factory, it is normal to peck several chickens a day, not to mention that many chickens are pecked all over the body, chicken feathers fall off, broken, so the general chicken breeder will be cruel to the chicken "broken mouth", the gentler way is to wear "glasses" for the chicken.
The five black chickens raised by Xue Kaiyong did not "break their mouths" or wear "glasses", but they appeared to be "hairy and slippery". What is the reason for this?
Xue Kaiyong said that this is related to the wide range of activities of chickens, chickens are active all day in the 2500 acres of mountain forest, foraging for cordyceps, drinking rain and dew, all day long fun, I am afraid that I forgot to find other chickens to fight. The five black chickens have a docile personality and live in harmony as a whole, but they can't see the existence of chickens of other colors, so now only black chickens are raised.
These five black chickens are brutally driven out of the coop after three months of deheating when they are chicks. Except for feeding the grains once a morning, the rest is left to nature. To allow them to freely consume energy in nature, commercial chickens should be farmed for a minimum of 7 months.
For 7 months, the five black chickens enjoyed the warm sunshine every day, breathed in the oxygen in the forest, familiar with the land under their feet, the trees and grasses around them, and ran and leaped at will, inseparable from nature and mixed.
Xue Kaiyong said that due to the daily movement of chickens and less feeding, the 7-month-old rooster is generally only 2 kilograms, the hen is generally only 1.5 kilograms, and the eggs are not large. Although this chicken and egg are small, they are very nutritious. The chicken is elastic, the soup is delicious and full of flavor!
Selling 10,000 pieces a day, hitching a ride on the road to e-commerce to get rich
According to the data, the five black chickens originate from the Black Hair Black Bone Chicken of the Ming Dynasty, which is a rare and rare bird in China, originating from the Xunxi Lishan area of Nancheng in the western wing of Wuyi Mountain in Jiangxi, and has a breeding history of more than 1300 years.
