The "second generation of Taiwan businessmen" relayed the good cause of "Mei" and produced small fruits of happiness

Quanzhou, 8 Sep (Zhongxin.com) -- At the 15th Cross-Strait (Quanzhou) Agricultural Products Procurement and Ordering Conference (hereinafter referred to as the "Agricultural Ordering Meeting") being held in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, Yang Qiwei, the "second generation of Taiwan businessmen" who has been "landing" for 10 years, was busy selling traditional plum products such as plum cakes, plum slices, and plums, and also launched such a special and explosive green plum snack food as "popping grape plums."

Yang Qiwei has participated in the "Agricultural Ordering Conference" for many years, and he said in an interview with a reporter from China News Agency that the most important thing to participate in the exhibition is to have face-to-face contact with consumers, so that enterprises can more accurately grasp the market demand and adjust production in time.

Born in 1987, Yang Qiwei is a native of Chiayi, Taiwan, who has studied in Japan and the United States. In 2012, he faced an important choice for employment, based on his understanding of the mainland market and the prejudgment of development prospects, coupled with his father's encouragement, he finally chose to "land" for development and follow his father to cultivate the "plum" good cause.

Shortly after Yang Qiwei was born, his father Yang Ronghui came to Fujian from Taiwan to found Quanzhou Rongqi Food Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Rongqi Food"), producing snack foods such as candied fruit, dried fruits, and plum cakes, which were exported to Japan, South Korea and the United States. After more than 30 years of development, "Rongqi Food" has 8 companies and dozens of assembly lines in the mainland, becoming a key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization in Fujian Province.

In the eyes of Yang Qiwei, years of experience accumulation and technical support make the products of "Rongqi Food" above the same industry standard. Therefore, he gave full play to the company's research and development advantages, focused on the whole category of Ome, and walked out of a new path of differentiation and quality.

The development of the domestic market for snack food is the biggest transformation brought by Yang Qiwei for enterprises. "In the past decade, the mainland snack food market has grown rapidly, and the young generation of consumers has gradually led the consumption trend, and the market is very broad." The "Mei Baihua" brand created by "Rongqi Food" has gradually made a name in the mainland market.

From the "rotation" of the small worker to the director of the workshop, and then to the establishment of "Mei Baihua" with one hand, Yang Qiwei has a lot of feelings. "My father's support and encouragement, and the support of the mainland's Huitai policy, pushed me forward step by step."

"In the process of product research and development, I often consult my father, who occasionally deliberately provokes me to ask the growers and employees for advice to experience it for myself." Gradually, Yang Qiwei's unashamed and dedicated attitude of asking questions has been respected by new and old employees, and also recognized by his father.

At the end of 2021, Yang Qiwei and his father opened the door to welcome guests at the Meibaihua Yongtai Qingmei Cultural Center built in Yongtai County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. There are not only modern and intelligent sightseeing factories, a variety of plum products, but also a rich ome culture, like a small ome museum.

Yang Qiwei knows that the Chinese plum culture has a long history, since ancient times people have used green plum to cook, brew wine, make soups, and put medicine... From "green plums cooked in the rain" to "green plums cooked when the wine bucket is new", the literati and inkers do not hesitate to appreciate the green plums, and a small fruit conveys the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.

"Every plum is the crystallization of the hard work of farmers, and it is the mission and responsibility of the enterprise to make the plum worth." Yang Qiwei said that he hopes to build the Ome Cultural Center into a local industrial tourism brand, and establish a Ome base to promote local farmers to increase income and help rural revitalization. "This is also a piece of our heart as a Taiwan enterprise."

Today, Yang Qiwei often drives between Quanzhou Luojiang and Fuzhou Yongtai, driving along the highway for just over an hour each way. When his father first came to the mainland to start a business, the same journey took more than 6 hours.

"For ten years, I have witnessed the mainland 'acceleration' running forward." Yang Qiwei said that based on such an entrepreneurial environment and a broad market, using the advantages of the whole industry chain accumulated over the years, insisting on expanding the brand step by step, I believe that the small fruit of Qingmei will soon become a "rich fruit" and "happiness fruit".

"Don't take advantage of the green plum to taste the boiled wine, you have to see the drizzle of cooked yellow plums", Yang Qiwei has a clear goal, that is, to wait until the day when the plums are "ripe and fall". (End)
