An investigation into plagiarism of Kim's papers began last November, when she was not south Korea's first lady.
On August 1 this year, Kim Jian-hee's alma mater, Korea Kookmin University, published the relevant findings, saying that two of Kim's papers did have some flaws in the citation part, but this was the poor quality of the paper and did not constitute plagiarism. In another paper, because of its age and the age of the data retention, the investigation team could not determine whether there was fraud.

According to the statistics of the inspection team, a total of 860 sentences in the paper have no provenance marks, and 220 sentences are directly copied.

The team said that in the same way as its doctoral dissertation, kim's three papers published in academic journals had serious plagiarism, "especially one paper published at the Korea Design Forum that almost entirely copied papers from other researchers." ”
