The MotoGP-class course is 27 laps and a contract of 114 kilometers. Both drivers of the Gitney MotoGP team chose the front hard and rear tyres to race.

The race officially began, and Bastonini headed for the fourth race of the 2022 season. In the first half, he had a fierce chase with four or five other opponents. The battle for the championship, the multi-driver glue situation continued into the second half, and by lap 20, as the tire grip began to fade, Bastonini became one of the two drivers in the first competitive group.

The final lap of the title race was a white-hot brawl in which Bastanini ran the fastest lap of the race in 1 minute 31.868 seconds. In the end, he won second, just 0.034 seconds away from the championship.

With a good start, Ginantorio rose to eleventh place on Lap 2. But a bump with another opponent on lap 3 cost him 5 or 6 seconds, and by the time he returned to the game, he had fallen to the bottom. He finished in twentieth place.

After the race, Bastonini said, "At the beginning I had a strange feeling about the tyres, (perhaps) because they didn't reach the perfect temperature. From the middle point [of the race] I found the right feeling and I did my best to keep [running] to the finish line. First at turn 14 (attacking) and then at the last turn, I wanted to win the race, but I didn't run perfectly before [ a few corners ] , and then near the finish line , Pecco Bagnaia ( Ducati Factory driver Banaya ) blocked the line and I couldn't go over. On a track like this that's very special to me, it's great to be on the podium in this special uniform. ”

Giantorio said, "Unfortunately, it was ruined shortly after the race started: I drove too much oil on the T4 (lap 3) and crashed when I failed to overtake ... ... I did my best to finish the race with respect for these colour patterns and this track today. Obviously, our goal (and today's final result) is a different type of result, and I'm going fast, I think it's likely to be in the top ten. And now, we will try and make full use of the tests that took place on Monday (note: the official test of Mishano will take place on September 5) to reach Aragon in Spain with the best possible feeling.) The next leg of the race will be played two weeks later in Aragon, Spain). ”
