Recently, Dongfeng officially released its first luxury electric off-road brand in China - Mavericks, and unveiled the concept car M-Terrain. The project plant of the Warriors has actually begun construction this year, including a test track and an off-road experience center. Dongfeng will put years of experience in building military vehicles into products, such as the stability and durability of trams in extreme environments, which is particularly important for an electric off-road vehicle.
Since the new car M-Terrain is facing the civilian market and has to take the high-end route, the balance and killer technology of the product must be indispensable, especially the higher demand for intelligence in electrification, which has put forward problems for the Warriors.
The M-Terrain is available in 3-door and 5-door versions and will be in mass production in the third quarter of next year. From the appearance point of view, this concept car is already close to the state of mass production, so there is still a lot of reference significance.
M-Terrain adopts the design concept of the male soul, based on the Oriental Awakening Lion, so that the appearance does not look angry. The headlights of the cross target seem to have eyes, and the 3-door version is a penetrating taillight, which is highly recognizable.

M-Terrain is close to the engineering prototype previously exposed by the Maws, with a body length of more than 5.2 meters, which is expected to be more than ten centimeters longer than the tank 500, positioned in a large SUV of a higher level.

The killer skill of The Maws is the self-developed M TECH intelligent off-road electrical architecture, which includes the MORA skateboard platform, M ATS all-terrain off-road system, MEGA POWER power 3 core technologies, support 5G communication, Gigabit Ethernet and other transmissions.
In terms of power, The Magus will provide pure electric and extended range versions, using four motor drives, it is expected that the front and rear axles are two motors, each motor drives a wheel separately, so that the real electric four-wheel drive, it is equivalent to having a 3 lock configuration.
The total power of the pure electric version of the system exceeds the terrifying 1000Ps, plus the torque amplification of the 2-speed shifter, the wheel side torque of the whole vehicle can exceed 16000 N·m, and the acceleration of 0-100 km/h is 4.2 seconds. The battery capacity is 140kWh, and the cruising range can reach 500km.
The extended range version is 815Ps, with a battery capacity of 65.88 kWh and a range of 800 km. The performance of both is enough to crush the off-road vehicles of the fuel era.

With the blessing of so many black technologies and the detailed configuration has not yet been announced, the price of new cars is difficult to predict for a while. Previously, it was reported that the product launched by The Warrior will be million-level, the same as BYD's upcoming hardcore off-road vehicle.
From the perspective of product specifications and technology, the new car has indeed reached the million level. However, considering the price of similar competitors, the professor believes that the price will not be so exaggerated, if it is around 500,000 will be more reasonable, and below this number is very cost-effective.
