On September 1, the District Market Supervision Bureau launched the "Public Open Day" activity of Food Safety Technology of Food Safety Publicity Week with the theme of "Creating a New Development of Food Safety and Sharing a Better New Life", inviting the public to walk into the District Food and Drug Safety Monitoring Center to observe and experience activities such as rapid screening of food safety at close range, so as to improve the public's scientific understanding of food safety.
As one of the first batch of pilot units for the integration of 30 county-level food safety inspection and testing resources, the District Food and Drug Safety Monitoring Center was completed and put into use at the end of 2016, mainly undertaking regional food and drug inspection, drug, cosmetics, medical device adverse reaction monitoring, food safety risk assessment, monitoring and other functions, with professional technical personnel and more advanced inspection instruments, each year to complete the food risk testing samples not less than 600 pieces, drug supervision and sampling monitoring no less than 200 batches, It is a strong technical support for strengthening food and drug supervision and management in our region.
At the event site, the staff first made a comprehensive introduction to the whole process of food and drug sample picking, sample retention, inspection, issuance of inspection reports, etc., and the monitoring of adverse food and drug reactions, so that the public could personally experience the food and drug quality inspection work, understand the scientific and rigorous nature of food and drug inspection work, and feel the power of scientific and technological supervision at close range.
Subsequently, public representatives walked into the laboratory and visited the food experiment area, drug experiment area, microbial area and precision instrument area. Spectroscopy chamber, liquid phase chamber, gas phase chamber, Traditional Chinese medicine and chemical laboratory, dissolution meter laboratory... The instruments, equipment, and experimental instruments in the professional laboratories all make the visitors feel new. Along with the visit, the staff gave a detailed introduction to the food and drug inspection steps and the functions of the various laboratories that matched them, so that the delegates could get a close understanding of the whole process of food and drug testing, as well as the functions and testing items of the testing instruments, show the collision between scientific and technological forces and big data, and truly feel that science and technology lead supervision and escort drug quality and safety.
