【Honored again!】 Qatar World Cup Stadium - 974 Stadium received 5 stars from GSAS for sustainable development]
Built from 974 containers, Stadium 974 is the first fully detachable venue in the history of the FIFA FIFA World Cup.
Recently, it received a five-star rating in the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) managed by the Gulf Research and Development Organization (GORD). This is the 2022 Qatar World Cup stadium that has won this honor after Lusail Stadium.
The 40,000-capacity venue, a milestone in the design and construction of sustainable stadiums, is made from prefabricated and modular steel elements such as containers, which also greatly reduces waste generated during the production of stadium components and waste generated at the construction site.
The use of modular elements also shortens the construction time of the stadium, while the efficient use of water allows the 974 to reduce water use by 40% compared to the traditional stadium development process.
As a result, Course 974 has received both a 5-star rating from GSAS Design and Construction and an A* rating from GSAS Construction Management.
