The AG-40 is a 40mm grenade launcher mounted on a rifle. It was mounted as a lower handguard for the Kalashnikov rifle. The AG-40 is currently used in 5.45mm PA md. 86 standard assault rifle, in service in Romania. It replaced the old GP-25 Soviet-model grenade launcher.
The grenade launcher has three types of headline Mirita observation, ag40p ag40pn al38, three kinds of ammunition are not the same, ag40p ag40pn launch grenade length is not the same, respectively 40 * 47 40 * 46, it can be seen that pn is NATO standard ammunition.
