Sun Wenhao was born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. The Memorial Tower of the Martyrs of the Battle of Huaihai in the eastern foothills of Phoenix Mountain in Xuzhou is engraved with the names of more than 30,000 martyrs. Before joining the army, Sun Wenhao liked to pestered the older generation to tell the story of the battle here. Since then, the simple feeling of advocating heroes has quietly entered the heart.
In the year of his hair tie, his elder brother Sun Tonglong resolutely chose the latter in the face of the choice of going to college and enlisting in the army, and it was he who brought this glory to his family. Five years later, Sun Wenhao, who had just turned 19, followed in his brother's footsteps and signed up to join the army.

When Sun Wenhao entered the recruit company, he made up his mind that when he became a soldier, he would become a special combat soldier! However, his body was thin and his foundation was poor, and he was far behind the top soldiers of special operations.
After the list of scheduled recruits was published, Sun Wenhao was assigned to a detachment of the Guangdong Armed Police Corps, which was more than 1,300 kilometers away from home. Sun Wenhao overcame all kinds of discomfort, studied and practiced diligently, and did not miss any opportunity to become a special combatant.
During the new company, Sun Wenhao's class was selected to participate in the tactical demonstration mission of the new training brigade. In the sweltering summer heat, Sun Wenhao repeatedly crawled forward dozens of times on the sand at nearly 40 degrees Celsius, groping and rolling, training for nearly 7 hours a day. When you roll up your sleeves, your elbows are often blue and purple. Little by little accumulation, a little change, Sun Wenhao entered the special operations squadron as desired with the excellent result of ranking third at the end of the new training.
The special operations squadron is known as the "sharp knife on the sharp knife". Speaking of Sun Wenhao, his previous instructor, Wang Zhuli, admitted that although Sun Wenhao was not the best, he was the hardest.
In April 2017, Sun Wenhao participated in the assessment of the reserve team of the detachment organization competition, and accidentally fell down when jumping over the low wall in the 400-meter obstacle and did not qualify. At the end of the competition, Sun Wenhao was not frustrated and depressed, but made an intensive training plan for himself at the first time.
During that time, Sun Wenhao was riveted at the training ground every day against the benchmark plan. Quick reaction shooting aim is slow, and he strapped sandbags to his arms until he developed "muscle memory"; The climbing speed was slow, he added steel sheets to the prescribed dress, and the cocoon skin on his hands was ground layer by layer...
On the road to chasing dreams in special operations, Sun Wenhao did not stop the pace of charging. After a year, the detachment once again organized the assessment of the reserve team of the competition. "I want to be a special combat soldier, and my feelings are so! Not just a whim. At the beginning of 2019, after reform, adjustment and reorganization, a certain detachment where Sun Wenhao was previously located was reduced and had to face the diversion of officers and soldiers. On the one hand, there are units that have worked and lived for many years, and on the other hand, it is the overall responsibility of obeying the arrangement. Sun Wenhao knocked on the instructor's door and solemnly handed over a letter of commitment to obey the organization's arrangements.
After reading every word, Wang Zhuli remembered very clearly that Sun Wenhao was telling the organization that I must "correctly treat the advance and retreat of individuals and consciously obey the organizational arrangements." ”
For Sun Wenhao, this was the first time in his military career that he stood at a crossroads.
Some people say that there is a kind of heroism in the world, that is, to love life after recognizing the truth of life. Between the choices, Sun Wenhao took up the mission.
With a paper order, Sun Wenhao and his comrades-in-arms successively packed up their backpacks and rushed to the new battle position. In his diary, Sun Wenhao wrote: "The special combatants in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone must be more skilled and strong, and train their excellent skills.
He deeply remembers that before taking on a certain security task, it was often "simple action repeated practice" for possible emergencies. A kicking door action, passing by person, the team members practiced hundreds of times, kicked more than 10 doors, until now "a foot up to know where the landing point is"; In order to improve the speed of the rifle loading action of the heel kicking pistol of the combat boots and ensuring that the battle can continue to fight in the case of one arm injury, it is often "practiced until the chopsticks are unstable", and the heels of the combat boots are scraped out of a series of openings.
Once, a sharp whistle suddenly broke through the night sky. "There is a situation!" Sun Wenhao, who was taking a bath, did not have time to wash away the foam, and rushed back to the dormitory to change into battle clothes, but he did not want to slip and fall down the stairs. Not long after returning from the mission, the detachment was expanded and set up a duty brigade, which urgently needed to absorb backbone forces. Standing at the crossroads of the military brigade for the second time, Sun Wenhao once again submitted a letter of commitment to obey the arrangement.
This time, he turned from a special combatant to a soldier on duty.
From the new training squad leader to the anti-cancer fighter - "If fate is unfair, I will fight it to the end"
In August 2021, Sun Wenhao took the initiative to apply for the position of squad leader of the recruits, and successfully passed the backbone training of the new training cadres.
"This is the third time I've brought in a recruit." Sun Wenhao deeply understands that the squad leader is the first "mentor" of the recruit brigade, and every move, every word and deed is seen and remembered by the recruits. In daily training, he shouted "look at me" everywhere, and influenced and motivated recruits by strictly enforcing his own standards.
In December 2021, Sun Wenhao organized tactical basic action training as usual, and after explaining the essentials of the action, he immediately bent down and stepped forward, and a front swoop jumped three or four meters away. It was also this time that a bad news followed - because the stomach pain was unbearable and sweating, Sun Wenhao was sent to the hospital, and the examination found that there was an adrenal neurofibroma the size of a "fist" in the right peritoneum. Always optimistic, he was a little overwhelmed.
A doctor at a medical center in Beijing said: "This disease is difficult to cure, if the situation is good, there are still 10 years, and if the situation is not good, it will only be 3 years." ”
From Guangzhou to Beijing, Sun Wenhao went to many hospitals to seek medical treatment and came to a similar conclusion, "The risk of surgery is very high, the success rate is very low, and conservative treatment is recommended."
