However, there was an unexpected storm in the sky, and just when Hong Xuezhi immediately finished his primary school studies, his father died suddenly. After the family lost his source of income, Hong Xuezhi was forced to withdraw from school.
Enter the "Lianzhuang Team" and participate in the revolution
After dropping out of school, Hong Xuezhi was forced to work as a short-term worker at a distant relative's house and eat mixed food. But just as the so-called "where there is oppression, there will be resistance", the peasants who lived in hardship formed groups to resist the exploitation of the landlords.
One night in the winter, someone suddenly found the grass hut where Hong Xuezhi lived and asked him if he would like to "eat a big family"? Hong Xuezhi didn't know what this meant. But after some explanation, Hong Xuezhi learned that the purpose of this organization was to prevent crime and theft, and in fact it was "specially designed to eat big households."
On the evening of May 6, 1929, the lianzhuang team members rebelled, and Hong Xuezhi and they broke into the homes of several local rich families. This is the famous Shangnan Uprising in the Eyu-Anhui region. After the uprising, Hong Xuezhi decided to join the guerrillas.
Hong Xuezhi later recalled that one night in the fifth month of the lunar calendar in 1929, three or four people, including himself, gathered around a small oil lamp, sat around a dilapidated table, and took the oath of membership.
