In order to promote modern poetry to the public, poet Love launched the "Friday of Poetry" campaign in Taipei, that is, the last Friday of each month is held at the Eslite Bookstore in downtown Taipei. This move was rated as the first of the "Top Ten Poetry Events in Taiwan in the Early 1990s" by Taiwan's Wenxun. Founded in October 1954 by Love, Zhang Mo, and Yan Xian, the book celebrates its fortieth birthday in 1994. "Mortal" is the son of Love, the lead singer of the "Mortal Singing Group", who has come to the mainland to perform, and I have watched it on TV shows and was deeply moved. The image of the Great Wall in the poem comes from this, which contrasts with the background of the "sail" of baodao's marine culture. Remembering an elder of the poetry country

Mr. Zhao Ruihong, a famous scholar, poet and translator, passed away on the eve of the Spring Festival in 1999. On March 15th, the Department of Chinese of NTU held a memorial service, and many people from literary and art circles and overseas students gathered together to recite Mr. Wang's poems and remember the poet's style. The poem was written immediately before the meeting, read aloud at the meeting, and later included in "Colorful Journey - A Collection of Remembrances of Mr. Zhao Ruihong".

The Poet Chen Mengjia of the Huai Crescent School

Chen Mengjia, poet and scholar, born in Nanjing in 1911, graduated from Central University in 1931, studied under Xu Zhimo and Wen Yiduo, and was a representative of the Later Crescent Moon Sect, and edited the influential "Selected Poems of the New Moon". He hanged himself in Beijing during the Cultural Revolution in 1966 at the age of fifty-five. In 1932, Chen Mengjia composed "The Wild Road of Jiming Temple" in Nanjing; Nowadays, the "Cherry Blossom Road" in front of Jiming Temple is once a year "full of tourists" and becomes a spring scene in the ancient capital.

(5) The "IZI Hall Speech" refers to Zhu Ziqing's speech at the forum "What Intellectuals Should Do Today" on July 23, 1948, in which he profoundly mentioned the two-way issue before the new type of intellectuals after May Fourth, clearly expressed his progressive stance, and also talked about the need to "take it slowly" in ideological reform, reflecting his consistent style of seeking truth from facts. This was his last public speech.

(6) Wu Han was Zhu Ziqing's colleague at Tsinghua, and the statement of refusing to receive US aid flour was drafted by Wu and sent to Zhu for signature; Lao She is Zhu Ziqing's favorite novelist. Both Wu and Lao died during the Cultural Revolution. Ye Shengtao and Yu Pingbo are Zhu Ziqing's lifelong close friends, and Mr. Baishi also has contacts with the old man of Baishi. The "Ancient Locust Book House" below is the former residence of Yu Pingbo.

(7) Chen Zhuyin, Lady Zhu Ziqing. Wu Zhongqian, Zhu Ziqing's ex-wife, died of illness in 1928 at the age of 31, and Mr. Wu Zhongqian's famous article "To the Dead Woman" described his affairs; He also visited Zhu Yin's grave when he went to Yangzhou after marrying her. Mai Xian, the eldest son of Zhu Ziqing, in the following; Qiao Sen, the third son of Zhu Ziqing, was the editor-in-chief of The Complete Works of Zhu Ziqing.

As a new poet of May Fourth, Zhu Ziqing has made important contributions to the creation of new poems, criticism, the study of ancient poems, the collation of songs and ballads, and the translation of foreign poems. In vernacular prose writing, language teaching, and the construction of university Chinese disciplines, he is also one of the most powerful promoters since May Fourth. The revelation of the rivers and lakes

Some Thoughts on "A Hundred Years of New Poetry and Jiangsu" (1)

The rivers, lakes, rivers and seas are the most beautiful scenery on the map of Jiangsu, and the lifeline of the yanhuang descendants who have worked and sung in this hot land of China for generations have lived and developed. For the "firstborn child" of modern Chinese literature and the new Chinese poetry that has gone through a century-long journey, "rivers, lakes, rivers and seas" is not only the "source of living water", but also its connotation and extension, soul and physique, free and unrestrained and gripping rhythm: an "aesthetic textbook" that releases dreams and passions, beliefs and strength in thousands of weather and endless changes - the "new knowledge" and "unknown" it contains are worth all poets to use their life's energy and talent to try and explore, discover and innovate.

Let's start with "Jiang". The "river" in Chinese characters is the ancestors of the characters built for the Yangtze River, from "River" to "Great River" to "Yangtze River", which has gone through a long time, and its understanding process is comparable to the indiscriminate pursuit of the national poetry tradition that we are proud of, and it is a long-standing and veritable mother river.

The title "Yangtze River" began in the Sui Dynasty, specifically referring to the wide and vast river below "Yangzijin" (Hanjiang Gudu, in Yangzhou), limited to a section of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, but in modern times it is said that because Western missionaries had difficulties pronouncing the word "Yangtze River", the transliteration of "Yangtze River" was used as a synonym and alias for the Yangtze River. Looking back at this historical evolution containing "dislocation" and "fallacy", at least two enlightenments are given to us: First, in the early twentieth century, the agitation of the world trend and the awakening of "Young China" gave birth to the surging "May Fourth New Poem" like the "Guangling Tide", whether it is the spirit of innovation that soars and leaps forward, or the complete liberation from content to form, the combination of nationality and epoch represented by "Goddess" and "Phoenix Nirvana", the "resurrection" of vitality and the outbreak of creativity, the "gorgeous" and "gorgeous" and "gorgeous" from the local and inner "gorgeous" and "" Fragrant", casting an eternal classic in the history of Chinese new poetry - this is the victory of the "Yangtze River" and the glory of the "Yangtze River". Second, the historical turning point of the "new poems of a hundred years", what is the current situation of development to today?

While summing up experiences and achievements, and judging gains and losses and lessons, can we still maintain an objective and sober understanding? Do we still have enough confidence and confidence? In the face of the bubble flooding and sediment in today's new poetry scene, the minority, the circle, the vulgarization, the end of the book, the rush for quick success, and the impoverished "from me to write, from today to write" (Mr. Gong Liu's sarcasm) and other strange phenomena, the public's criticism and questioning of the new poetry have been endless. I think this is also the motivation and starting point for many people of insight in the poetry industry in recent years to advocate the creation of a new poetic style with Chinese characteristics and to carry out theoretical research and creative experiments, and its positive significance of acupuncture and shortcomings and inheriting the past and the future should arouse the attention and vigilance of the majority of new poetry authors.

It is worth mentioning that from ancient times to the present, the footprints of poets and famous works on the land of Jiangsu are inseparable from this river character: from the famous sentence of Xie Shuo, who was admired by the poet Xian Li Bai, "Yu Xia scattered into Qi, Chengjiang is quiet as practice", to Zhang Ruoxuan's "Spring River Flower Moon Night" of "The LoneLy Piece Suppresses the Whole Tang"; From the first generation of "May Fourth" new poets in Jiangsu, Liu Bannong's dedication to modern Chinese and the creation of new poetry (only the "she" character of "Teach Me How not to Miss Her" is very good!). ), Zhu Ziqing's first long poem "Annihilation" composed of vernacular poetry, Zong Baihua's "Aesthetic Walk" and the editor of "Learning Lanterns" recommended Guo Moruo...

After the 50th generation of the last century, Sha Bai's "The Great River Goes East", Wen Jie's "Ten Thousand Miles of the Yangtze River", Yi Mingzhu's "Spring Breeze, Bring My Greetings", and Ding Mang's lyrical poem "Century Song of a Drop of Water" in his later years... All of them are soaked with the grace of the mother river, and the poems that remember glory and suffering are all the waves of the Yangtze River and the Yangtze Penitentiary in the river of Chinese poetry! If there are any historical proverbs in the past hundred years that we need to remember, the first thing I think of is the dialogue in the classic old movie: "Yellow River, Yellow River, I am the Yangtze River" - this "joke" can be used as a "joint code" between the contemporary Jiangsu new poets and the five thousand years of Chinese civilization, it is the cost of our life in the global village walking and multicultural collision, the birthmark and direction of the root, and the gene and hometown sound of the original heart.

Let's talk about "lakes" and "rivers". Jiangsu has many lakes and rivers, harbors and bays, dense water networks, and the warmth of the poets' group characteristics is as warm as jade, deep and eternal, or flying and vigorous, Wang Yang is wanton, I am afraid that they all benefit from "one side of the water and soil to nourish the other side", and at the same time "ten miles of different winds, a hundred miles of different customs". From the Taihu Lake Basin to the Yunlong Mountain, the division, elegance and extravagance of "Wu Yun" and "Han Feng" have laid the different tones of the literary and artistic trends in the north and south of the great river, while the cultures of the Central Jiangsu Plain and the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, the Lixia River and the Qinhuai River seem to show more south and north, convergence and integration. Recently, taizhou municipal federation of literature and literature edited the "Lixiahe Literary Genre Writers Series and Poetry Volume", a full set of six volumes, including more than 100 thousand works of old, middle and young poets, with a strong local atmosphere and a prominent sense of genre, which is gratifying and congratulatory.

In recent years, in the poetry creation and organization activities in Nanjing, the "May Poetry Society" of the Southern Polytechnic University has set off a "youth tide" in the new century year after year; In the Qinhuai wilderness represented by the Jiangning Development Zone, the University Town, and the New Countryside, the poems and flowers bloomed and were colorful, breaking through the historical limitations of "Ten Miles of Qinhuai" and composing a brand-new movement of "Spring Breeze and south bank of the Green River". Co-organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Poetics Research Association and the Education Channel, the "Poems in the Heart of Children" Children's Poetry Competition is facing the whole country, cultivating new literary seedlings, and the future generations are fearsome and far-reaching. Mr. Lu Xun said in the article "Before There Is No Genius": "If you want to have trees and flowers, you must have good soil." Today, when calling for "peaks" and "masters", doing more "soil for cultivating geniuses", more sunny greenery, more nurseries to welcome spring, and more blossoming communities is still a "great" and "close" (Lu Xun) work. I sincerely hope that as the leader of the "Literary Soviet Army" and the leader of the Provincial Writers Association, I will have more deeds and responsibilities for the prosperity and development of Jiangsu poetry.

Jiangsu is bordered by the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea, and there will naturally be no shortage of poems about the "sea". Here are just two examples: one is Zhao Kai's long poem "Toward the Sea", and the other is Sun Youtian's early poetry collection "Short Songs of coal sea", and they are the evergreen trees of Jiangsu poetry. Zhao Kai's creation in the new period is like breaking the water of the Three Gorges of the "Gate of Dreams", which cannot be harvested at once, with the great image of casting the spirit of the times, and there are more "Fifty-Seven Dawns" and "I Love" that reveal the voice of mortals. "To the Sea" has a saying: "If you can't break through the Three Gorges, how to write a complete trilogy of life?" "If it can't flow into the sea, what is the point of the longest river?" The two police question marks are deafening from the inside out. Sun Youtian, who came out at the age of 22 with his first collection of poems "Short Songs of the Coal Sea", from a mine poet to a professional writer, the hard work of a nail has always maintained a fiery poetic heart, and has refined a pair of golden eyes to discover and mine "truth, goodness and beauty" in the living mine. He has a seven-line poem entitled "Bamboo": "Upright / Upright and Proud of the World // Although there is the earthy atmosphere given by the mountains / The aura given by the dew / The bone qi given by the sun / The poet of Qinggao / Only write one line of poetry in his life" - "Qinggao poet / Write only one line of poetry in his life" is worth listening to and pondering with each of our peers.

Speaking of the "sea" of Jiangsu, we must not forget the Jiangsu poets who live overseas and are famous in the Chinese-speaking world, they are Louis (Ji Xian), Yu Guangzhong, Rongzi, Zhang Mo, Fu Tianhong, Cai Kelin... In addition, there are poets and scholars born in Jiangsu, living in Jiangsu for a long time or have a relationship with Jiangsu, such as Chen Mengjia, Bian Zhilin, Han Beiping, Xin Di, Chang Renxia, Cheng Qianfan, Wu Benxing, Zhao Ruihong, Sun Wang, Yuan Shuipai, Yuan Ying, Tu An, Caucasus, Huatie, Zhou Zhongqi, etc. In their silent dedication in different periods of "Hundred Years of New Poetry", they always beat one after another deeply agitated, profound and magnanimous, flexible and persistent "Heart of Rivers and Lakes and Rivers and Seas", which also makes us admire, remember and reminisce.

Finally, I would like to quote the opening few sentences of a poem I wrote more than ten years ago when I participated in the "Poetry and Song To Sing Jiangsu" essay contest, "Sailing Away - Dedicated to the Sons and Daughters of Jiangsu in Progress", and encourage you to share with you:
