Embark on the fruit path of Utah and reap the joy of a bountiful harvest

The fruit was of historical significance to the development of Utah, and the first pioneers brought seeds and fruit trees to settle in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. After the harvest of the orchards in the forerunners of the Wasachi Mountains, people enjoy the joy of the harvest and at the same time think about how to preserve the fresh fruits, so the residents make the fruits into dried peels, jams and so on. Fruits and fruit products have long been indispensable in the diet of Utah settlers, which led to the centuries-old Fruit Festival.

In early August, it is the time of the raspberry harvest, and the raspberry harvest festival is also held at this time. During the celebrations, not only can you taste fresh raspberries, but there are also many traditional and classic activities, such as a pancake breakfast party in Garden City Park, a rodeo in the town, a celebration parade on the boulevard and a boat parade on the lake. At the end of the three-day celebration, there is also a grand fireworks display along the shores of Bear Lake. During the event, there is even a 5-kilometer run, why should it be a long run? Continue south along historic Route 89 with stunning scenery along the way, and the miles from South Willard to Brigham City are undoubtedly the sweetest. Because this section of the road is a veritable "fruit road", there are fruit shops that have been passed down for generations along the way, and many fruit farmers peddle seasonal fruits from the surrounding foothills, of which peaches are the most famous.

The Brigham City Peach Festival began in 1904 and is the longest-running harvest festival in Utah. The Peach Festival is usually held on the weekend after Labor Day in September, and nearly 50,000 people come every year to celebrate the harvest. The celebration of the Peach Festival is also colorful, and the largest free auto show in Utah and the Western United States will be held during the Peach Festival, when nearly a thousand classic models will be on display at the same time. In addition, softball competitions, 10km fun runs, celebration parades and motorcycle shows will be held in the four-day Peach Festival. In addition to these rich activities, of course, there are also fresh peaches for tourists to taste.

Fresh melons and fruits are the most appetizing, and green river in Utah is simply a natural melon farm. Imagine plump and rounded Crenshaw melons, canari melons, cantaloupes, white blonquashes and watermelons "sitting in rows" in huge boxes, grab an incision, and the sticky sweet melon juice will burst out! The green river is hot and cool at night, and the loose sandy land is very suitable for melons and fruits to breed sugar, so the fruits produced here are particularly sweet.

During the Melon Festival, you can indulge in a tasting of the Green River melons, as growers will offer thousands of pounds of melons for visitors to taste and sell for free. Of course, in addition to eating melons, there are also rich celebrations to participate in, such as the 24-hour softball tour, the Wild West Ball, the Melon Festival theme parade and so on. If you plan to visit Moab in mid-September, it is recommended to take a car as The Town of Green River is the only way to get to Moab. Even if you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way, you can also taste the delicious melons and fruits, which is also a feast for the eyes and mouth.
