Before going abroad, I thought that the United States was Di Lieba, but when I met, I found out that it was Jia Ling

The United States is still a beautiful country, but it is definitely not as beautiful as most people really understand, followed by a few points that I think the United States is not good (it is true that the United States still has its advantages, but here are only the shortcomings):

Poor infrastructure

The dirty mess of the New York subway and countless fancy fare evasions can directly destroy your good impression of the country together. By subway from Central Station, you'll experience the thrill of being crushed: rubbish everywhere, dirt everywhere. When you buy a 7-knife (50 yuan at the time) subway tickets, you will find that regardless of skin color, many people choose to evade tickets, to tell the truth, I have never seen such a rampant fare evasion model in any other country. And, if you have the opportunity to experience the airports, railroads, and highways of the United States, you will find that in these places, there is really no domestic construction well.

racism

Compared with the racial discrimination in the United States, the regional discrimination in the country is simply ridiculed by old friends. At least domestic racial discrimination still treats the other party as a person, and the racial discrimination in the United States will not treat Nico as a person, and when you really understand race and species, you will understand what I mean.

Drug proliferation

DM is not a drug, you smoke in front of the US police, they will not care about you, as long as no one calls the police. DM is a gateway drug, I strongly agree with the domestic DM as a drug, because after you have smoked DM, more than 80% of the probability will find more high, never overestimate their willpower, DM is a drug, in the country to shoot a little unjust. American DM, you can ask anywhere, including but not limited to: apartment corridors, university classrooms, bars, public toilets, streets and alleys.

Guns are proliferating

Domestic robberies with a fruit knife are basically the sky, and American robberies without a gun are afraid that the hostages will laugh out loud. Believe me with the feeling of a gun to the head, no one wants to have a second time. Combined with the last drug hallucinogenic, the most terrifying thing is not that a conscious person kidnaps you, but that a person who doesn't know what he is doing holds a gun to your head, and you have no idea why and when he will shoot, which is the most exciting.

higher education

The tuition fee for American students is around 2w for a year. So the question is, can American students get 2w a year of tuition? That brings us to the per capita income of the United States.

I learned that in the United States, the annual income of 7/8w knife (after tax) is really the middle class. A child's tuition fee alone for a year of college costs 1/4 of the annual income of an ordinary American, and everyone will judge whether it is expensive or not. And I'm talking only about tuition, no accommodation, no books. In addition, unlike in China, the cost of university dormitories in the United States is higher than that of renting a house, and due to copyright protection in the United States, textbooks are not pirated, and it is not a fantasy to have a textbook with 100 knives.

I don't think most Americans can afford higher education. My American classmates either chose to take out loans or work for a few years to save enough money before going to undergraduate. In contrast, in China, around 2015, the annual accommodation fee and tuition fee plus book fee for students were about 6,000. That said, when it comes to higher education costs, China is at least an order of magnitude cheaper than U.S. universities. And there are also student loans for poor students in China, and there is basically no situation where they are admitted to college but cannot afford it.

In addition to the cost, there is an even more desperate american-specific donation enrollment model. This model is simply put, that is, only if you are rich enough, you can be admitted to any American university on the legal compliance path, there is no need for any grades, and international students do not need language scores and GPA. It is true that there will be all kinds of unfairness in domestic examinations, but universities have not yet set up a unified and transparent donation admission system.

Higher education in the United States is just a word, you only have enough money to enjoy all the advantages of American higher education.

Before going abroad, I thought that the United States was Di Lieba, but when I met, I found out that it was Jia Ling

Before going abroad, my impression of Americans was: straightforward, without domestic sophistication. When I got there, I really punched in the face. My attitude towards the United States is really grateful to the "Reader" and "Youth Digest" I read when I was a child, they portrayed the United States as Di Lieba, and I met to find out that it was Jia Ling. Jia Ling is not unbeautiful, mainly because the contrast is too great.

Americans are very sophisticated, even more hypocritical than at home.

To give a few examples:

American teachers rarely criticize students, I do the wrong question in China, the teacher will say: I have not talked about this problem? Or do you not listen to lectures in class and do not write homework? American teacher: Wow, joe, you did the right thing!

American schools still have unspoken rules, and my teacher (a white male) forced a Chinese sister to pass this course. Because this eldest sister is more than 30 years old, resigned to study in the United States, age plus poor English, so just look at the results is definitely hanging up. But the eldest sister is particularly diligent, never absent, and always pulls the teacher to the end of the class, or asks the Chinese around. Everyone saw all this in their eyes, and the teacher understood it in his heart, and finally gave it to her. I had a good relationship with this teacher, and asked him privately, wouldn't that be unfair? He said: Theoretically, the school cannot interfere with whether the teacher hangs up a student, but there was once a student who did not go to class, did not write homework exams, and he hung up for this big brother, but the academic system passed this student. He went to someone to theorize, and the other party said: This student is settled, the principal said, Jesus can't hang him! He also didn't believe in any fairness, and he struggled hard, and it was time to pass.

And I heard (just heard) that two years before I enrolled, when a mainland student enrolled, it was the principal who personally led the team to the airport to pick up the plane. You can guess his identity, I wouldn't say what his father's position is.

Chinese in the eyes of Americans

Americans' impression of Chinese, first of all, the Chinese in the eyes of ordinary Americans is definitely not squinting, the reason is very simple, everyone looks up at the women around them, how many are squinting? The Chinese Americans see is not squinting, squinting is a disgusting cultural symbol Chinese. And it is specially fictionalized to disgust people, which is also a model of black is not black enough.

The Americans around me know very little about Chinese, so I can give two examples.

One is the local white classmates in the United States, after I sneezed out "god bless u", this is a traditional American culture, when someone sneezes around people who do not know will say a word, the gist is the same as although sneezing but I wish you not to be sick. The point is, she reacted for a second and then apologized to me very seriously, saying that you have no faith, and what I just said is not intended to offend...

The second is that before Christmas, they met the shopping mall promotion brother, they saw the Asian face and asked if it was from China? I said yes, and they said you're not just Christmas? They also asked me this question, what should I say? I said Chinese Christmas is much more lively than you guys? Our Christmas mall restaurants are not closed and there are activities, much better than your cold and cold? After thinking about it for a while, we are just Christmas in the religious sense. I reckon they didn't understand either, and the confused look turned around and wished you a Merry Christmas anyway.

These two examples are meant to show that ordinary Americans are extremely ignorant of Chinese life, but generally respect our different lifestyles and cultures. But! There will always be people with ulterior motives who use all kinds of despicable methods to create misunderstandings between ordinary Chinese and American people about each other.
