Let's get started (welcome to spit)!

Round of 16

Is it as you expected? Predict the results of the round of 16 to the final of the 2022 Qatar World Cup

Dutch national team

Netherlands vs. United States

The Netherlands were mediocre in the group stage, so a draw was not a no-brainer for Burhalt's side. But with the right to rounds, only Germany and Spain have higher possession than the Dutch, who are likely to play the same way against the Americans. However, they also don't have the devastating offensive players of other top teams to turn possession into goals.

It's hard to imagine a team without a striker scoring against a team with Virgil van, and Christian Pulisic always performed well against Liverpool, didn't he?

Argentina vs France:

French national team

Argentina's match against France, which won the championship in 2018 for winning the match against Argentina in the group stage. This time, Argentina seemed to be better equipped to deal with France, but it was just a brutal match for them.

Winning the World Cup depends heavily on luck, and Lionel Messi knows that like anyone else.

Denmark vs. Poland:

Poland has good players; Denmark has a better team. My choice is: the team is bigger than the individual (at the European Championships, I can feel the Danish team looking at it.)

England vs. Senegal:

Three Lions, England

It was a big battle between Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold. It may be a tricky issue for England, but I think the Three Lions will give Senegal a stop at this stage.

Spain to Canada:

Spanish national team

Now it could be a very tricky game for Luis Enrique's team. Canada is the kind of team that has historically caused trouble for Spain, and no one in their theoretical squad can take on Alfonso Davis. But Spain will have too many balls in this game and I don't know if you see Pedre's recent performances, the situation can't be too optimistic.

Brazil to South Korea:

Five star Brazil

Brazil is the best player in this World Cup team book data, while South Korea ranks 18th. South Korea has Son Heung-min, Brazil has Neymar, Thiago Silva, Alisson, Fabinho, Casemiro, Edson, Marquinho, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Vinicius, Fred... It really trembles for Korea.

Morocco vs. Germany:

Germany team

While Argentina finished first in the group and overtook France, Germany finished second in their group and were lucky enough to play against Morocco. Although Morocco handled Belgium in our game, the Germans are a completely different strong team.

Portugal vs. Switzerland

Portugal

The Swiss are the kind of organized, know-it-yourself team that Portugal has been fighting for years. I think the same thing could happen here, like France did at the European Championship. Every team has a goal and then goes on to a penalty shootout, which may inevitably be another bad fight.

quarterfinal

Spain vs. Brazil:

South Africa world cup Spain won the championship

In the late 2010s and early 2010s, these teams fought each other, with Spain dominating Europe and Brazil in South America as well, but neither team met on the biggest stage in the world. These are really probably the two best teams in this World Cup.

Tite turned Brazil into the best defensive team in the world, as has been the case for much of the past decade, while Luis Enrique has allowed Spain to play like an elite club team: pressing high and dominating the game in complex position rotations when possession. It will be a title battle.

The United States to France:

Can Americans theoretically advance? But just because North Macedonia beat Italy doesn't mean you should predict it will happen in this tournament. It's almost impossible to imagine the U.S. scoring against France, and at the other end, Kellian Mbappe, Paul Pogba, Karim Benzema, Osman Dembele, Kingsley Koeman, Christopher Nkunku and so on are waiting to eat the U.S. team.

Germany vs. Portugal

We saw Germany wipe portugal outright at last summer's European Championships and have been flying ever since Hans Frick left Bayern Munich to succeed Georgie Love. Frick's management style sought to raise the team's ceiling, while Portugal's Fernando Santos opted to pull up the team's bottom line. The latter takes you out of the group stage, the former takes you to the World Cup semi-finals (spontaneous dog head).

England vs. Denmark:

It's a day to repeat the Euro Cup showdown! Denmark is indeed worth reaching the semi-finals, with a balance of chance in every match they play... Until England appeared.

Despite going into extra time, England beat Denmark. They beat the Danish team last time, and this time, they will have won effortlessly.

semifinal

France vs. Brazil

Whenever these two teams play, it feels like you're watching history in real time. You know what you're seeing is what people will be talking about 50 years from now, and when they happen you know: Roberto Carlos' free-kicks violated all the laws of physics, Zinedine Zidane looked like he escaped the 1998 World Cup final, and Zidane reversed Brazil out of the round of 16 in 2006.

This should be no different. It will be the result of a minute or two of decisions that everyone in both countries will always remember. It seems that Brazil should let some of them go their way.

England vs. Germany:

It will be a one-on-one semi-final.

It will also be England's rematch in the European knockout rounds. They eventually beat the Germans 2-0, a match in which England completed their two major chances, while Germany wasted their two chances. As England's manager, Gareth Southgate tends to play high – often playing three centre-backs and choosing a pair of conservative midfielders.

England have so much talent to get them to the European final, but it's also a big reason they lost control of the game after taking the lead over Italy. What will Southgate do in this game? Will he give up the three-back and find space for another England star striker? Will he eventually find a way to integrate Trent Alexander-Arnold, the powerful offensive organizer? If his answer to these questions is yes, England could be very good at reaching their first final since 1966.

Third place competition

France vs. Germany:

In principle, I am not going to analyze imaginary football matches that should not even exist in the first place. Third, the players don't care, the fans don't care.

World Cup final

Brazil vs England:

02 World Cup Brazil won the championship

The two losers met in the World Cup final last summer. They may be the two best defensive teams in the world, and like most finals, this team may be decided by a moment of brilliance or a mistake, or even both.

There's also an interesting story: under the dominance of the Premier League, European club competitions have become the centre of the world's most popular sport of football. The best players, coaches, coaches and managers all tend to work in Europe – more specifically, in England. While there should be a global level in international competitions, it seems that it is actually moving in another direction, with European teams becoming increasingly dominant as they approach the top echelons of the sport. Of the last 12 World Cup top three, only one (Argentina, 2014) came from outside Europe.

Brazil's victory will make history (six stars Brazil).
