Cao Xingcheng was once a "representative of the unification faction"
Cao Xingcheng, born in 1947, his father is a native of Jining, Shandong, and he ranks 6th among 7 brothers and sisters. Cao Xingcheng's father was a subordinate of the Kuomintang, and his father had already made a home in Taiwan before the Kuomintang's defeat.
Later, Cao Xingcheng went to Taiwan with his father to live and settle down, but Cao Xingcheng's family conditions were not good, he once recalled that when he was a child, he lived with tricycle drivers and taxi drivers, and this life of the lowest people made him cultivate a fierce character that dared to fight and kill from an early age.

When he was young, Cao Xingcheng's father often taught him that Taiwan and the mainland were one family, and that sooner or later they were going to return to the mainland to live. Cao Xingcheng also kept his father's teachings in mind, and at that time he strongly advocated cross-strait reunification.
After graduating from university, Cao Xingcheng entered the Institute of Management Science in Taiwan, and because of his love for electronic technology, he was transferred to the Institute of Electronics, and it did not take long to serve as the deputy director of the Institute of Electronics, and later he chose to go to the United States to continue his studies.

In 1982, Cao Xingcheng returned from school. After returning, he couldn't wait to open his first chip company in Taiwan, and in order to show that he was very supportive of the early reunification of the motherland, Cao Xingcheng also named his company "UMC". At this time, Cao Xingcheng's heart has always supported the reunification of the motherland.
Cao Xingcheng has exhausted various means to make his company bigger and stronger, although the industry's comments on him are all moral losses, but Cao Xingcheng does not care about these. His purpose is to make his company strong, and he ignores the discussion of others.
In this way, under the leadership of Cao Xingcheng, the company was operated into the world's largest thin-film transistor display manufacturing plant within more than a decade. Later ushered in the reform and opening up, Cao Xingcheng in order to make the company develop better, began to promote his business to the mainland, he continued to invest in the mainland to build factories, became the first batch of Taiwanese to start a business in the mainland.

At that time, when Ma Ying-jeou and Chen Shui-bian were competing for the leadership of Taiwan, Cao Xingcheng vigorously supported Ma Ying-jeou and criticized Chen Shui-bian bitterly. He proposed to the Taiwan Government that the people on both sides of the strait should coexist peacefully, but Chen Shui-bian held that the remarks of the people on both sides of the strait for peaceful coexistence were actually to make Taiwan surrender to the mainland, so he vigorously opposed it.

When Cao Xingcheng saw that Chen Shui-bian did not agree with his ideas, he used his own forces to exert pressure on the Taiwan authorities and also bought advertisement columns in newspapers for a long time to bitterly criticize Chen Shui-bian's Taiwan independence behavior.
Although such an act has aroused the good feelings of the mainland people toward Cao Xingcheng, this has been met with the dissatisfaction of many "Taiwan independence elements." In order to suppress Cao Xingcheng, Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian detained many employees of The United China Company on the grounds that Cao Xingcheng had illegally invested in the mainland.
Later, Cao Xingcheng was helpless in the face of strong pressure from the Taiwan government, and he decided to "hide in the mountains" and no longer interfere in any affairs in the company. After two years in seclusion, he applied for Singapore citizenship.

He began to make a big fuss about Taiwan independence, calling the mainland a "triad society," bluntly saying that he regretted going to the mainland to set up a factory, and verbally attacking the "1992 Consensus." Without the "1992 Consensus", it would have been impossible for Cao Xingcheng to earn so much pension money in the mainland, but now he turns his head and says that the content of the "92 Consensus" is nonsense.

Cao Xingcheng also demanded that Taiwan achieve "all the people are soldiers" to counter the mainland, saying that people between the ages of 18 and 60 should be gathered for unified military training. In the face of the war between Russia and Ukraine, he also said that Taiwan and the mainland do not need the support of the United States when they fight, and firmly believe that Taiwan can stand up to the mainland by its own strength.
