【Rumors】 Ben Simmons hit back at the group chat controversy with the Nets

Fox Sports' Rick Butcher claimed that before the fourth game of the Nets series against the Boston Celtics, players asked Simmons in a group chat if he could participate in the life-and-death showdown. However, instead of answering, he snubbed the question and quit the group chat. It further said Durant wasn't happy with it, noting that "KD is like: Is this what I signed?" Is that the person I'm playing with?

Simmons has since reacted to the report, calling it a "slow news day" for everyone. Subsequently, he commented on a post about the story, calling it a "fake."

"Why are you all posting fake stuff?" Simmons preached seemingly angrily.

Considering Ben Simmons' story throughout the 2021-22 season, while many believe the story, it seems unlikely he could have made such a move. Also, his back injury was already a big problem at that point, so it was hard to see his teammates forcing him to put on clothes or anything else. True or false, the Nets have bigger problems to solve this offseason. Kevin Durant doubled down on his trade request, and now that seems like a "demand." He even asked team owner Jocea to choose between him and Steve Nash and Sean Max duo. #nba Spit Conference ##风船计划2.0 #
