"Crested ibis". The two words "䴙䴘", pronounced "pìtī", refer to a class of small water birds. The tip of the mouth and the position of the feet are particularly backward, which makes them very convenient to swim, and once on land, they are very clumsy, so they rarely go ashore, even if they reproduce, they also use water weeds to pile up a floating nest in the water to lay eggs and hatch.
Every year from March to April, the West Bank of the Summer Palace stages a scene of "crested", and many pairs of "crested crests" seek courtship, step on eggs, give birth to children, and build love nests together in the West Lake of the Summer Palace. Together, they catch fish and feed each other, and together they build a nest of grass leaf reeds.

The story of the feeding of the "crested crested" feeding in the West Causeway of the Summer Palace walked over to see that the crested pelican father (also likely the mother, they took turns hatching) was catching fish and shrimp, feeding 4 small babies lying on the back of the mother (or possibly the father), and there were two half eggs in the nest (the half may have failed to hatch). I patiently observed and filmed the feeding process 13 times (two hours) from the shore. The hatched big crested pelican, not knowing whether it was tired or something else, stood up to examine the unborn baby. Crested broods feed chicks to swallow feathers. Reinforce the Love Nest

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="36" > crested broodstock feed the chicks to swallow feathers. </h1>
Explore the crested catfish feeding chicks feathers. A person and nature program found on the Internet just mentioned the special phenomenon of cresteds feeding birds to eat feathers, saying that this is the first meal after the chicks come out of their shells, which is said to prevent fish spines from hurting the stomach.
There is no obvious age difference in the behavior of crested swallowing feathers, but rather a species trait. Why eat indigestible substances? A skill of many birds: regurgitation. Regurgitation is the most common behavior of birds, most commonly in parent birds spitting out the food in the sac to the chicks, and spitting out the feathers that have been eaten into the stomach through the mouth!
There are no feathers in the regular food of the feathers, and the role of the feathers is to wrap the indigestible fish bones and snail shells that are eaten into the stomach and then vomit them together. The feathers they choose are exactly the kind of light, fluffy silhouette feathers, with long fibers, very small kneading groups, usually no very hard shaft, and easier to swallow and vomit.
Feathers are not so much about preventing damage to the digestive tract by fish bones, but rather about helping to empty the digestive tract more effectively.
The following photos are of the crested hair process, which makes all sorts of beautiful movements as if it were fulfilling its sacred mission.
