Recently, the special meeting of the Municipal Land and Spatial Planning Committee deliberated and adopted the design of the Fengxi Wetland Restoration Project in principle. The city will rely on the good ecological foundation of Fengxi Port, make every effort to build the most beautiful Fengxi Eco-City, and build Fengxi Wetland Park.
The planned Fengxi Wetland Park is located on the east bank of the Xiangjiang River, from the east bank of the Xiangjiang River in the north to Yanjiangnan Road in the south, to the South Auxiliary Road of the South Ring Road in the west, and to Xisan Road in the east. It will combine the hydrophilic and safe terrain design to create an urban wetland park that reflects the wetland scenery and the humanities of Maple Creek. The park plans four characteristic plant landscape areas: lake and mountain color, maple perch flower forest, fir forest wetland, and stream flowing water bank. Among them, the lake and mountain color plate configures plants according to the influence of water level, and selects water-resistant fir plants, with natural trees and flowers and grasslands, to create a characteristic water forest ecological style with fir trees as the theme of science popularization.
According to the plan, the wetland park focuses on creating romantic flower beaches, sports worlds, Fengxi Fishing Village, Fengxi Fishing Port, Fenghu Beach, Shanlin Wetland, Gudu Old Bridge, and Pure Water Stream "Eight Views of Fengxi". The flower beach is equipped with herbaceous amphibious plants such as thousands of cabbage, yellow calamus, flower leaf reed bamboo, wolf's tail grass and other herbaceous amphibians, and the boardwalk is planted with colorful leaf willow and yellow xin, and the beach is dotted with luan tree color leaf trees, creating a spring and summer flower watching, autumn and winter grass viewing experience. Maple Creek Fishing Port will use VR and other technologies to introduce the cultural IP of the fishing port, restore the dock and shipping scenes, and bring an immersive experience to tourists.
