Actor Anne Heche was reportedly "in stable condition" after suffering severe burns in the car accident.
On Saturday, the 53-year-old actress's representative told People magazine in a statement, "Anne Heche is currently in stable condition. ”
"Her family and friends have asked to pray for her and to respect her privacy during this difficult time."
Her ex-boyfriend, Thomas Jane, told the media: "My thoughts and prayers were with Anne Heche, one of the true geniuses of her generation. ”
"Thankfully, no one was hurt."
The most recent update was released a day after the actress's blue mini Cooper caught fire.
According to media reports, after the actress crashed into the parking lot, bystanders tried to help her get out of the car. However, she allegedly reversed her car and left, then rushed into another house, her car "engulfed" by flames.
Aerial footage showed the actress being carried away on a stretcher. Her clothes and back looked visibly charred.
Shortly before the accident, Heche found a bottle with a red cap in her car, so it was speculated that she was affected by alcohol.
A video obtained by the media also showed the actress speeding on a nearby street shortly before the crash.
