It is distributed in all parts of the yangtze river basin south of China, reaching northwestern Yunnan, Ya'an in Sichuan and huidong in the southwest, and reaching southern Henan, southern Shaanxi and southern Gansu in the north, wushan, and staying all year round without migrating.
