Some people say that no matter how noisy the world is, the craftsman's heart is also calm. The craftsman spirit I understand is a kind of faith, not to pursue fame and profit for the sake of inflated desires, not to have the "pseudo-enthusiasm" of fishing for three days and drying nets for two days, but with a heart that can withstand loneliness, stick to their posts for decades, continue to learn, study hard, and create their own life pursuits.
"Choosing one thing, lifelong", seems luxurious, but in fact, it contains the spirit of craftsmanship of adhering to duties, painstaking exploration and excellence. I guess I'm lucky enough to be defined as "what I'm doing exactly what I like" and allows me to focus on that love most of the time. But even so, the complexity of the back-office work makes it impossible to enlarge the "like" into every small link in the work. Only by learning to accept wholeheartedly, correct the mentality, with an ingenuity, and insist on doing the most boring and tedious things conscientiously and meticulously, can we take the helm for ourselves, grasp the direction, and set sail.
Mastery of craftsmanship is by no means a one-time thing, it requires a long period of accumulation and precipitation, and it needs to be explored and studied in a down-to-earth and persistent manner. All greatness is the accumulation and illusion of small things.
As an in-house worker, the most exposed person on weekdays is writing. Whether it is uploaded and issued, or the submission of various information, drafts, summaries, and deeds, it is inseparable from text editing. In the whole process, it is necessary to treat every detail with a dedicated heart, repeatedly deliberate, and tirelessly, in order to obtain a great sense of pleasure in satisfactory works. This is enough to counteract all the previous process of scratching ears and cheeks, thinking hard, and being tired and uneasy. You will go through a lot of mediocre time, endure a lot of monotonous daily life, experience a lot of disappointments and failures, and in the process of trying and repeating again and again, it is possible to achieve a success. Just as the craftsman completed a unique craft, the gymnast made a very graceful movement. Between excellence, the irreproducible "instant perfect feeling" that is generated will make people remember in the long-term expectations thereafter. In this way, it can be called "proficient in craftsmanship".
The nature of the post determines that my daily life does not have thrilling arrest scenes, no warm and touching knee-jerk chats, and cannot produce immortal deeds that are well known and widely praised. But that doesn't mean I have a reason to indulge myself and stagnate. I still remember the scene when we took the oath in the police, and we proudly raised our right hand to make a solemn oath. For more than twenty years, the enthusiasm has not cooled down the slightest because of the ordinary daily life, and everything is ordinary and full, satisfied and happy.
Many of us are destined to do monotonous and repetitive things in our respective posts for a long time, or patrol the streets and alleys, or the parents around the people, or the intersection to direct traffic... No matter where you are, where you live, the original intention does not change, the mission will always exist, this spirit of conscientiousness, persistent pursuit, excellence and craftsmanship will always encourage us to move forward!
