Bird Island – "A New Zealand Trip"

author:Green imprints

Get up at 7 a.m. to eat and drive to Bird Island. Bird Island, called Muriwai Island, is a forty-minute drive from downtown Auckland, the car drove to the top of the mountain by the sea, stopped, and we followed the guide down the mountain road.

Bird Island is a self-funded project that costs more than $100. Before coming, Li Penglei of the travel agency repeatedly told me that when she arrived in Auckland, she must participate in the self-funded project of Bird Island, which is a very interesting place. Everyone in our group participated in this self-funded project, and the tour guide was very happy.

Auckland's Murray Wai Bird Island is home to two giant rocks that stand tall on the seashore, with flat tops and isolated from the shore, where thousands of birds roost in flocks. The island became the world of birds, and the island became the bird island.

The birds that inhabit the island are called gannets. The gannet is a small but growing bird species in the world. These gannets fly thousands of kilometres away from Australia each winter to spend the cold winters of New Zealand, and then fly back to New Zealand around October each year, where they build a nest with their partners, raise the next generation, and fly to Australia with them when they grow up in March of the following year.

Winding down the mountain road, the sea gradually emerges under your feet. As we turned over a mountain pass, two huge rocks suddenly appeared on the seashore. The mountain stone stands like a giant at the foot of the mountain, facing the waves and the sea with its head held high, majestic and resolute. The mountain stone is surrounded by knives and axes, steep walls, extremely steep, the top of the mountain stone is flat and wide, and countless white gannets crowd the platform, or nest, or breastfeed, or play, or jump, twitter, new and loud chirping sound far away from the blue sky and the sea.

Sky blue, sea blue, many gannets fly on the upper end of Bird Island, dotted with it, and the blue sky and sea constitute a beautiful picture.

Come to the observation deck, the observation deck is at the upper end of Bird Island, you can fully overlook Bird Island. The railing of the observation deck is crowded with tourists, and the long guns and short cannons in the hands of tourists are aimed at Bird Island, and they are constantly clattering.

I stood on the steps and looked down at the Bird Island in front of me up close. Bird Island is close at hand and clearly visible. Bird Island is full of birds, and birds have become the highlights: jumping, singing in the sky, frolicking in opposite directions, competing for victory, circling around the island, a bird in a posture, a hundred birds, and a chaotic dress up the colorful world of Bird Island. Gannets have a lifespan of only 20 years, have only one mate in their lifetime, and they are only together when they give birth to a baby. Maybe Bird Island is too small, there are too many gannets, and the cliff top near the two boulders has become the home of gannets. Looking down, there are white flowers, and Bird Island has truly become a white world.

The gannet is small, with a long, gray-gray mouth, pale yellow feathers on the top of the head, a white body, and several black feathers on the tail and wing tips. The gannet is very beautiful when it spreads its wings and flies, lifting and descending freely, stretching around, white body black edge, elegant posture. I took a lot of pictures of flying gannets, which made the photos shine a lot. Lao Tian always watched me take pictures with the SLR camera along the way, and said to me with a smile: Old Han's shooting is not good, you can take a family portrait for us here. I also happily replied: You stand well, be natural, don't pose.

Leave the viewing platform and continue down the hill along the path to the second observation deck. It is parallel to Bird Island and is also the closest to Bird Island.

Stand by the railing and look at the platform opposite Bird Island. The platform is overcrowded with birds, nests one after the other, and there is almost no place to stand. Birds are also next to each other, friendly people rely on each other, discordants stay away, disputers fight each other, and lonely and proud people are independent. The platforms on Bird Island are too small, and the bustling platforms are like bazaars, crowded and cluttered, disorderly and noisy. How nice it would be if they were like human beings, with the rule of law, order, civilization, and courtesy. I was cranky.

There are not too many people on the observation deck, and the aunts of Ningxia stand by the railing with no one and are extremely exaggerated, endlessly posing in various poses to perform and take pictures, regardless of the dissatisfaction and irritability of many tourists waiting to take pictures. These big moms are all the way publicity, and every time they go to a place, they always have to desperately grab the terrain, and then they perform tirelessly and repeatedly.

When there were few people, I was busy standing by the railing and asking Mei to stand on a stool not far away to take pictures of me. Seeing that I chose a good angle, a Ningxia woman reflexively stood next to me, and her husband, who took pictures of him, hurriedly jumped on a stool, raised the camera, and then put it down and waved me to leave.

I was greatly annoyed, and angrily criticized him for knowing only the self, respecting himself for me, not knowing that he came first and coming later, not understanding courtesy, and rarely having etiquette. Annoyed to see me, the two left bored. Mei said that it was all a regiment, why bother. I said they were outrageous and unbearable.

The beautiful scenery was overshadowed by emotional irritability, and after taking pictures, he left.

After seeing Bird Island, go down the hill to the Black Sand Beach attractions. Located on Auckland's west coast, Muriwai Beach is Auckland's famous black sand beach. Black Sand Beach is New Zealand's unique off-the-shelf iron ore mine, but the New Zealand government does not allow any institution to mine it, because it is a precious treasure of the New Zealand people and a precious natural heritage of the world. It is precisely because of the strong environmental awareness of the New Zealand government and people and the sense of responsibility for the ecology of the earth that tourists who come to New Zealand can enjoy such a beautiful view.

The beach is flat, wide and wide, winding along the sea and disappearing into the sky. The sand on the beach is fine, gray-black, soft and fluffy. The sea is endless, and the cascading waves rush to the beach one after another, and after tapping slowly, they slowly retreat weakly. Instead, the waves are coming again, monotonously repeating the sad drama of the previous ones.

Taking a leisurely stroll on the beach to relax your mind, believe in the reins and gallop freely, is also a very romantic leisure.

On the beach, Mei and the Lao Tian family and Professor Wang walked all the way and giggled and laughed, and the laughter was high and low on the beach, floating and wandering. I walked in front, stopping to look at them reflexively, and when Lao Tian saw me holding up the camera, he waited for me to take a picture with a serious face.

I said to her out loud, "Just go, just laugh, don't stretch your face, don't pose and wait, that won't work well." ”
