Sticking to the deep mountains for more than 20 years, veteran Li Jingchao tells you what is the strength of persistence

Choose Li Jingchao who insists.

After the midsummer rains, the coastal town has faded the fog of the past few days. At the beginning of the lantern, people strolling on the streets will not think that there is a group of "navy blues" in the distant mountains, which are casting their focused and sharp eyes on the ten thousand miles of the sea frontier farther away.

Whether it is wind and rain or the sun, they are all in the same posture, watching the sea and protecting the battleship.

Li Jingchao, a veteran among them, is too ordinary. Black skinny body, black skinny face, like many veterans, straightforward and capable. The collar badge he wore also spoke of the extraordinary second-class sergeant major - in this deep mountain far away from the bustling city, veterans have been stationed for more than 20 spring, summer, autumn and winter.

This mountain covers an area of more than 4,000 acres, and it is easy to keep it. Li Jingchao was familiar with the stone and wood on the mountain as if he were familiar with his own home. Li Jingchao was born in a small fishing village in Weihai, Shandong. Going out to see, it was once the dream of that teenager. Even he himself did not expect that after coming out, he would plunge into the mountains and keep it for 20 years.

Li Jingchao had the opportunity to leave this mountain and return to the prosperity and hustle and bustle, but he chose loneliness and perseverance. There is only one sentence in the hearts of veterans: people must always persist, do something, and do something.

A long journey, let people go through the storm is the love of the heart; When love becomes a habit and makes people reach farther away, it is perseverance in the face of setbacks again and again. Approaching the veteran, what we admire most is his unchanging original intention, unremitting courage, and sunny optimism in the face of difficulties... The veteran said that every time he chose to persevere, he always enjoyed the process and learned the meaning of perseverance and the true meaning of life.

Li Jingchao was redlining the stone slogan.

The 19-year-old Li Jingchao stood at the door of the Naval Aeronautical Engineering College as he wished, becoming a recruit in the cadet corps. Before that, he said, he felt as if he were living in a "parallel time and space."

After graduating from high school, Li Jingchao chose to leave home and go to see the outside world. He came to the city with his classmates, first as a shoe factory worker, and later, with the tide of the times, he went to the south and worked as a security guard in a school.

Zhan Xinxiao, chief of the school's security section, is a demobilized naval cadre who served on submarine hunting. He liked this young man who did things one by one, and often taught Li Jingchao to practice military body boxing and tell the story of the former military camp. This made Li Jingchao feel that there was a light in his life.

As a big brother, Zhan Xinxiao often encouraged him: being a soldier may regret it, and not being a soldier will definitely regret it.

Hearing this sentence a lot, Li Jingchao felt that the days at that time were effortless, but it seemed "not interesting". He figured out what he wanted, so he made the decision to step out of his comfort zone — put on a military uniform and take on a new challenge.

"Be a soldier for your dreams." Quitting his job and returning to his hometown, Li Jingchao's tone of discussion with his family seemed to be non-negotiable. In the days of waiting, Li Jingchao exercised his physical fitness every day and ran against the wind on the mountain road. Sweating profusely after each run, he felt that he was getting closer and closer to his dream.

Putting on a military uniform and learning a profession, in the face of complex circuit diagrams and fine components, Li Jingchao realized that he had to "make up for" many knowledge deficiencies.

"Even if there is a small gap, we must take out the greatest will to conquer" - in the cold night, comrades-in-arms curled up in the quilt to sleep, Li Jingchao hid in the bed with the help of flashlight to read the data and silently memorize.

Instructor Sun Xiumei quickly noticed the diligent and hard-working Li Jingchao, and was particularly attentive to his guidance. Capacitors, amplifiers, charge and discharge circuits... Under the teaching and strict requirements of words and deeds, Li Jingchao's professional level has improved rapidly. He wrote in his diary: "Obscure concepts, as if transformed into spirits, even the veins on the wings became clear and vivid. ”

Half a year later, Li Jingchao excelled in military skills and professional theory and practice. Looking into the distance, Li Jingchao was full of reverie about the future military route.

There seems to be a kind of magic in this mountain, and the source of magic is love

To the south. On the green tin wagon, more than 300 people were left when they traveled from Yantai to Zhanjiang, and only more than 20 people were left.

Unlike many people who hope to become a soldier at the doorstep of their homes, Li Jingchao insists on his insistence - if he wants to go to the sea to become a soldier, it is best to get on a ship.

After getting off the train and getting on the truck, Li Jingchao looked out through the gap in the canvas, and the Ten Mile Military Port quickly retreated away until only a heavy mountain was left in sight.

Rubbing shoulders with the battleship, Li Jingchao could not avoid regrets. He did not expect that greater regrets were still to come.

All the way, the heart cooled down all the way. Li Jingchao, who grew up by the sea, has never walked such a difficult mountain road. The sugarcane forest, which is more than 2 meters high, arbitrarily "encroaches" on the already narrow dirt road, and there is not a single family on the mountain. From early morning to dusk, a camp appeared in front of him, and in this way, he ushered in his first stop after the company of his cadets, a certain warehouse of the Navy.

It's a big, desolate place. As soon as the veteran entered the door, he told him that the warehouse covered an area of more than 4,000 acres and was built in the 1960s: entering the camp, a cement road was only one car wide, there was no building, and the barracks were brick and tile bungalows.

In July, the southern heat is unbearable, and the surrounding mountains are like a circle of iron walls, locking in the heat that rises after the rain. After getting out of the car, Li Jingchao felt that it was difficult to even breathe... He didn't know it yet, and the harder ones were behind him.

The rock formations on the mountain are hard, the wells are difficult to beat, and the officers and men can only drink the water of the rock formations with many impurities. Li Jingchao recalled that after this kind of water is boiled, there is a lot of scale, and it must be precipitated for a long time before it can be drunk. Comrades-in-arms spontaneously "shifted" every week - taking turns to go up the mountain to cut firewood and boil water.

"There are only 2 phones in the camp, and there is a long queue on the weekend." Calculating that his allowance was only enough to make a long-distance call for 1 hour, Li Jingchao decided to write a letter. Spreading out the letter paper, the veteran told him that the mountains are remote and that a reply letter can go for 2 months.

In addition to the slowness of letters, the "chariots and horses" are also not powerful.

The nearest township is more than 30 kilometers away from the camp, and the round trip is exhausting, and the veteran compares it like this: "Going out is still white, and when you come back, you become a dirt slipper."

This is the warehouse more than 20 years ago.

After staying for a long time, the emotions in Li Jingchao's heart are undergoing subtle changes: the garrison is remote, but the soldiers here are not lonely; The conditions are harsh, and the soldiers here never complain.

In the Military History Museum, seeing the root carvings and stone paintings made by the predecessors stationed here, Li Jingchao was amazed by their concentration and creativity. They are like the "stone tree" in front of the door of the honor room - a tree grows on the hard rock, and the roots are wrapped around the stone with force, and the intertwined posture tells the tenacity and tenacity of life.

Not far away, a Shouku stone made Li Jingchao stare for a long time. The eight vigorous and powerful "Kuxun" of "Tiger Standing on the Mountains and Pointing to the Ocean" were painted bright red by officers and soldiers and carved into the boulders eroded by time.

Looking around the camp, Li Jingchao gradually had a sense of understanding, "This mountain seems to have a kind of magic." The source of magic is the comrades in front of you - a group of soldiers who have love and insist on love.

Time will testify the effort and will give the answer

That Spring Festival, Li Jingchao went home on vacation. "I never imagined that I would become a fragrant bounty in the eight townships." The mediators "stepped on the threshold of Li Jingchao's home."

In the foyer, another group of blind dates came. Li Jingchao, who was shy and kept rubbing his hands, suddenly rang his mobile phone, and he ran into the back room as if relieved. With his habitual "to" word, he knew that the task was coming!

That year, Li Jingchao was already the backbone of warehouse technology, responsible for the repair and maintenance of a certain type of equipment.

"We're like equipped 'surgeons.'" Li Jingchao gave an analogy to reporters that the new type of equipment was handed over from the factory to the warehouse, and due to the transportation conditions at that time, each part was dismantled and transported. As a technical backbone, he and his comrades were responsible for assembling, calibrating, and loading ships.

"It's like building blocks, except that the 'bricks' are a bit big, and some of the interior accessories are thinner than a strand of hair." This has brought great difficulties to the work of Li Jingchao and his comrades-in-arms.

There is no wind or rain in the cave, and it is illuminated by incandescent lamps 24 hours a day – when you walk into the cave, people always have the illusion that time seems to stand still. In order to facilitate the research, Li Jingchao simply rolled up the cover and put it into the cave warehouse, and lived for 2 months.

During those days, Li Jingchao couldn't remember how much equipment he and his comrades-in-arms loaded, and he was so tired that he couldn't hold on to lying on the bed, and his eyes would appear in front of the "Shisheng Tree" and the Shouku Stone in front of the door of the honor room...

Shouku had been guarding for many years, and at that time Li Jingchao really understood where the veterans' focus came from.

A year later, in another deep mountain on the coast of the East China Sea, the Navy's first certain type of equipment support competition is about to kick off, and many warehouse officers and men are rubbing their fists and competing for supremacy.

In the appearance of the training ground, a hoisting driver on the field "swept" the distance between the new equipment and the target position with his eyes, then gently pushed and pulled the joystick, rotated the pedal and the throttle alternately stepped on, and then operated the crane, steadily held the equipment, and smoothly loaded it into the box.

The "opponent" set of operations that flowed through the clouds and waters made Li Jing look more and more heart-wrenching. He couldn't help but feel worried in his heart: "We have just received the new equipment, and they have been practicing for more than a year." ”

The gap between individual subjects is so large, as a class leader, Li Jingchao is as anxious as an ant on a hot pot.

"Hold on! You can never win without fighting. Li Jingchao encouraged everyone, since the single item can not be spelled, then fight the team coordination; Since the speed is not comparable, it is better than the quality of the completion.

Every night before going to bed, Li Jingchao will play back the operation process, frame by frame: several trumpeters run a few steps, which screws are screwed a few times, when the password sounds... Like a film director, he designs each "storyboard" to be tightly sewn.

On the day of the examination, as soon as the sky was white, Li Jingchao shouted out his comrades-in-arms one by one, repeatedly instructing the process to help everyone "project" the picture in his mind to reality.

How hard a person and a group of people work, time will witness the pay, and will also give answers - the final competition assessment, Li Jingchao led the team to win the championship of a certain type of equipment mobile support team.

Take courage and climb to the top of even the steepest mountain

Climbing a mountain peak and standing on the top of the mountain that he has been looking up to for a long time, Li Jingchao said: "The higher the mountain, the more windy it is, the more it can blow people awake." ”

Sure enough, before he could appreciate the scenery after climbing over the hill, a paper order made him aim at another peak.

That year, the radar squad leader could not pass the promotion selection due to the limited establishment, the assistant engineer studied for further study, and 2 backbones were discharged... The radar squad, the "core business unit" of Li Jingchao's inspection squadron, only has a few volunteers left.

When he was a recruit, he studied radar, and Li Jingchao was well aware of the steepness of "this mountain".

"Radar detection is like opening a safe, where dozens of components, like knobs on a safe, can only get the only 'positive solution' if each set of data is accurate." He further analyzed that each component is equipped with a proprietary detection process, and as a technical expert in this field, he must be familiar with signal principles, circuit knowledge, etc.

"Show courage, as long as you dare to climb a steep mountain, you can always reach the top." Li Jingchao thinks so, and even more so. He piled up the information on his desk, checking the information and taking notes at the same time, almost forgetting to eat.

Theoretical learning is to be learned, but practical practice requires the accumulation of experience. Once, a certain type of new equipment suddenly malfunctioned, and the authorities sent a radar detection squad leader to eliminate it.

"I accompanied the 'master' for 15 days, followed him to eat and sleep, and learned a lot of 'golden ideas' that could not be learned in textbooks." During the day, Li Jingchao narrowed his eyes, afraid of missing a detail; At night, Li Jingchao knocked on the door of the "master's" dormitory, holding a notebook and asking questions while taking notes.

The bucket turns to the stars, and the wind is surging. Li Jingchao, who charged all the way, climbed the "mountain" detected by radar.

The pace of catching up does not stop. Since then, he has conquered two other "peaks" in the field of equipment testing. At this point, he became the first inspection technician in the warehouse and was known as the "internal medicine expert" of the equipment.

Since you have done one thing in your life, you should do it to the extreme

10 years ago, the equipment performance of mainland ships was still unstable, and Li Jingchao personally experienced failure. On that day, he drew a heavy red circle on the calendar card and said to the "disciples" decisively: "Shame and courage, as long as I am still in the equipment support post, I can no longer let such a thing happen..."

As the leader of the equipment inspection squadron, Li Jingchao's mission is to test the data and then debug it to the best condition. In order to be more accurate, Li Jingchao made two decisions - adjust the decimal point of the parameter adjustment accuracy, and then move it back by 1 position; At the same time, after locating the fault, try not to return the fault equipment to the factory, but first repair it yourself to improve technical capabilities.

Doing the first is not easy.

"We are like the 'sieve' of the problem, and if the 'mesh' is densely woven and then densely packed, the problem can be revealed faster and more accurately." To this end, he started by collecting data, little by little, little by little, approval. In his maintenance position, Li Jingchao wrote several technical books and drew a flow chart little by little.

Do the second point, and it is not easy.

"We repair it ourselves, and follow-up support will fall on our heads." Li Jingchao insisted on doing it, "Now start to study, and repair as much as you can, which is conducive to maintaining the intact rate of equipment in peacetime, which is of greater significance to wartime." ”

Time, test the "touchstone" of persistence. That year, a certain sea area organized live fire at sea. The rushing stern of the battleship draws a silver track on the surface of the sea. Commanders and fighters were all looking forward to the wonderful performance of the moment when the equipment was fired.

On that occasion, Li Jingchao suffered severe seasickness. His ship was only a few hundred tons, and it ran faster at sea than thousands of tons of frigates and destroyers. Through the waves at high speed, Li Jingchao vomited darkly.

In order to complete the maintenance and support task before the live fire, he grabbed the iron fence and moved his steps step by step to test the equipment.

"The water vapor is so big, the electrical appliances in a certain part are short-circuited." In the face of sudden failures under bad sea conditions, Li Jingchao analyzed the pressure gauge and carefully checked, and finally found that it was an inflatable valve plug cap that twisted half a circle, "due to excessive shaking, the trap door was inflated and cracked, and the box leaked."

Accurate fault location allows this seemingly intractable problem to be eliminated in an instant. On that day, the live ammunition launch was very successful, and the captain excitedly ran into the cabin, hugged Li Jingchao tightly, and said: "Squad leader, you really can!" ”

Mastered 8 technical skills, won the first prize in the naval maintenance skills competition 3 times, and eliminated faults in the sea emergency more than 20 times... Li Jingchao's 20 years of maintenance to ensure life, dazzling, he said, "Since I only do one thing in my life, I will do this to the extreme, this is my life pursuit." ”

In recent years, with the upgrading of new equipment, the manual detection method of equipment is slowly being replaced by intelligent detection method. The "trick" that has been sharpened for many years has been polished by the years to have a "wrap pulp", but Li Jingchao has not suffered from gains and losses.

He said longingly: "I am looking forward to the replacement of traditional majors by new majors, and I will follow the tide of the times to complete the transformation." ”

Once, Li Jingchao's 12-year-old daughter called, and on the phone, the little girl cordially discussed with her father the time for visiting relatives in the summer, and said: "Dad, when I grow up, I will become a soldier like you." ”

Li Jingchao smiled: "The future is handed over to the future, we just need to work harder." ”
