The most outrageous thing is that there is a buyer who claims to be from Hong Kong, this buyer actually rushed from Fujian to meet Wu Yanjun, and what made Wu Yanjun feel even more incredible was that this Hong Kong buyer even said that he was willing to bid 310,000 yuan to buy this golden beetle, which made Wu Yanjun stunned: how can a beetle be worth so much money, Wu Yanjun once felt that the other party was a liar.
On July 4, 2020, a knowledgeable friend of Wu Yanjun took the initiative to find Wu Yanjun after seeing the golden beetle photo sent by Wu Yanjun in the circle of friends, and informed him that the beetle was likely to be a nationally protected animal and asked him not to sell it.

Since the declaration of extinction in 1982, the price of specimens of this insect has begun to rise, and at an auction held in Beijing in 2001, a specimen of a 4.4 cm long Yangcai arm golden turtle was auctioned for as much as 200,000 yuan.
The researchers of the Baishanzu Management Office returned it to Baishanzu National Park after inspecting and recording the Yangcai Arm Golden Turtle and ensuring its health.
