Not only that, but the imperialists in Shanghai also adopted the "Four Motions" to crack down on China's national industry and commerce, which touched the anger of the public.
As soon as the news came out, more than 2,000 enthusiastic young students in Shanghai went to the concession to distribute leaflets and make protest speeches, and as a result, more than 100 people were arrested, the students were arrested, and the masses could not sit still, so tens of thousands of people went to the patrol house to protest and exert pressure and demand the release of the arrested students.

In 1932, the party organization decided to let Li Shiyu go to the northeast to carry out the anti-Japanese movement for two reasons: first, the northeast was Li Shiyu's hometown, he was more familiar with the northeast, and it was also justified to go back; second, the situation in the northeast was complicated, and it was very necessary for our army to go to the northeast to carry out revolutionary propaganda and inquire into local intelligence.

After the Outbreak of the Lugou Bridge Incident, all the ways out of Tianjin were blocked, and Li Shiyu could only stay and wait for the opportunity. Once, He Songting, Li Shiyu's direct leader, assigned him two tasks: one was to deliver radio stations to other places, and the other was to rescue Comrade Feng Ji from prison. In 1939, Wang Jingwei openly defected to the enemy, and in order to erase the reputation of the traitors, he thought of putting on the orthodox skin of the Kuomintang for himself, so he prepared to convene the pseudo-Kuomintang "Six Congresses", just at this time the Kuomintang member Zhu Jinghua was responsible for selecting the northern delegation in the Pingjin area.
Seeing that Li Shiyu was a fellow countryman and that the other party was still young and promising, Zhu Jinghua, who had the intention of wooing him, took the initiative to come to the door, saying that as long as he was willing to follow the Kuomintang and infiltrate the Wang pseudo-internal intelligence, then he could help forge the identity of the Kuomintang party member and help him participate in the pseudo-Kuomintang "Six Congresses."

As the officials became bigger and bigger, Li Shiyu inevitably panicked; he was not afraid of being discovered himself, he was afraid of being misunderstood by our party, and after the central leader Xu Jianguo knew his worries, he directly asked Li Shiyu's wife to send a message and let him boldly climb up.
In 1945, on the eve of Japan's surrender, our party began to plan the liberation of Shanghai.
After the fact, due to the compulsion of the situation, the Kuomintang preemptively occupied Shanghai with the help of Lao Mei, and just when our party was considering whether to let Li Shiyu withdraw from Shanghai, things took another turn. Yu Xiangqin, an acquaintance lawyer whom Li Shiyu knew, came to the door.
As soon as the other party came to the door, he revealed his identity, it turned out that he was actually a person of the military command, and the purpose of coming this time was to win him over, and the other party promised that as long as he brought the military and police forces left behind by the Wang puppet regime to the military command, then the high-ranking official Houlu would not be a problem.
Later, with the help of Yu Xiangqin, Li Shiyu met Dai Ka again, and Dai Ka himself had a very high evaluation of Li Shiyu, plus Li Shiyu himself was sleek in his life and could still perform positively in his work, and soon, Li Shiyu was appointed as the leader of the second group of the Shanghai District of the Military Command, and his rank was still major general, which showed how much trust he was in.
However, after a long time, it was inevitable that some people would suspect that in 1946, Li Shiyu's opponent Shen Weihan suspected that Li Shiyu was undercover, so he called Dai Ka and asked for the arrest and interrogation of Li Shiyu, but Dai Shiyu could not arrest people for no reason, so he called Li Guozhang, the chief inspector of the inspection office, and asked him about Li Shiyu's personality.

Because of this call, Li Shiyu temporarily escaped the disaster, and in March 1946, Dai Kasa died in a plane crash, and until his death, he did not know that Li Shiyu was a member of the Chinese Communist Party. As soon as Dai Kasa died, Li Shiyu's opponent Shen Weihan's eyes lit up excitedly, and he took this opportunity to design and arrest Li Shiyu.
Since there was no actual evidence, the agents tortured Li Shiyu and also came up with a prepared confession to force Li Shiyu to sign the pledge. Realizing that they had no evidence, Li Shiyu gritted his teeth and endured, never letting go of his mouth and admitting that he was a member of the Chinese Communist Party.

After being detained for two years, in early 1949, the senior Kuomintang officials were already thinking of retreating, and naturally they had no intention of taking care of these detainees, and later under the operation of Li Shiyu's wife, Sun Jingyun, Li Shiyu was released on bail.
In order to ensure Li Shiyu's safety, the party organization finally decided to let Li Shiyu evacuate Shanghai for Beijing, and Shen Weihan felt hindsight and pounded his chest, but it was too late. After arriving in Beijing, Li Shiyu handed over the intelligence he had at hand to the organization for the first time, and then finally changed into the uniform of the Chinese People's Liberation Army that he had long been thinking about.
