EM2's unique and compact cavity is still quite popular with consumers. However, EM2R still reopened the mold, but it did not change much, and the cavity still used a combination of metal and transparent resin.
The difference in appearance between EM2R and EM2 is the chamfer of the tail, while EM2 is a triangle and EM2R is circular. EM2R is relatively more rounded and will be better to wear. Xingge's tuning concept is based on the moving coil, supplemented by moving iron, and the sound displayed through EM2R, I think it is still very good. The distribution of the three frequencies is very balanced, and each has its own unique place. It's a feeling that's not easy to find on other plugs.
I think the amount of low frequency is not much, at best it can only be considered enough, but its texture is very good. Condensed and elastic, the dive is not deep and rebound is relatively crisp, and the point is not delayed. The background is still quite clean, there is no sign of warmth but it will not appear cold at all, and the crispy soft drum beat sounds particularly comfortable. But between the amount is not so large, classical, symphonic kind of big scene of the momentum rendering will seem a little inadequate.
The mid-frequency vocals also feel quite characteristic, the sound is relatively warm, transparent and has a good sense of sweetness. The overall sound does not feel that the amount of information is very large, and it feels that the instruments are more numerous, mixed, and exciting. The positioning and level of the performance are still relatively accurate and clear, and the overall transition is still quite smooth, not so exciting.
The tuning of EM2R is still quite able to show the skill of Xingge, the amount of low frequencies is not much, and the texture is very good. The mid-range vocals are moist and sweet enough, but they don't look colorful at all, and they can still maintain the characteristics of the singer's tone. High frequencies have good resolution, but they do not feel mixed and burrs, and the transition is still relatively smooth.
